What We’re Reading July 13, 2013

Good Saturday dear reader!

The weekends are always a bit slower in terms of the news but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot going on. We spent hours scouring the world wide web to find you the most important (or not) news of the day. Start your day off right and make sure you check out the great links we’ve found for you.

Here’s what we’re reading, Saturday, July 13, 2013.

The guys at Political Outcast break down the latest HuffPo poll that shows American overwhelmingly favor a ban on abortions after 20 weeks.

A recent study found that boys with sisters are more likely to become Republicans. Now you know.

GOP states are overwhelmingly better for business.

Edward Snowden has asked Russia to give him “temporary” asylum. Seems he can’t get out of the country without the US grabbing him, so he’ll have to wait around until no one is looking.

George Zimmerman’s fate is now in the hands of the jury.

The military is spending millions on protecting gophers, even though they have employees taking furloughs! With all of these budget cuts and politicians crying about not having enough money… maybe we should cut the gopher budget?

Instead of meeting with the media at large, the White House held an Obamacare briefing with just their favorite media members.

starwarsA California man defrauded the state of California out of almost 2$ million. So the state took his Star Wars collection. No word yet, on how he now decorates his mother’s basement… but I’m sure he’ll post something on his blog soon. (All snark – all the time.)

An Iowa court found that a dentist did nothing wrong for firing his dental assistant of ten y ears because she was “too attractive” and his wife was threatened by her.

A Local San Diego news station made a HUGE mistake when relating the story of the Asiana Airlines crash. Hmmm… someone needs to be fired.
