Texans Celebrate New Open Carry Law at State Capitol Building

It was always surprising to me that it was against Texas law to open carry handguns. You could open carry rifles, but not handguns. Those had to be carried concealed. New legislation has made the open carrying of handguns legal. Actually, bad legislation was overturned. Hundreds of Texans celebrated by open carrying their handguns on the steps of the State Capitol. Surprisingly, no one was hurt or killed during their heavily-armed celebration. [I jest.] I’ve written about open carry demonstrations Read more […]

Criminal Tries to Break into Texas Home; Gets Shot Three Times

If he had been somewhere like New York City, he’d probably have been fine. Gun ownership is strongly discouraged there, and people have a general fear of guns. If he had broken into someone’s house there, he probably would have been able to get whatever he wanted and leave unharmed. But Texas is a different story. People there own guns and use them in these kinds of breaking-and-entering cases: A man was shot several times when investigators say he tried to break into a Pasadena home in the Read more […]

Ahmed “Clock Kid” Sues City and Police for $15 Million

Remember that kid who took apart an old digital clock from the 80s, put it in a case, and brought it to school to show teachers his “invention?” After he got the reaction he wanted – which was getting arrested – he got invited to the White House by President Obama. Everything happened way too fast for this incident not to have been staged in some way. Obama doesn’t keep up with the news, unless it involves the Chicago Bulls. How many times has he told reporters at press conferences, “This Read more […]

Anti-Gun Students Carry Dildos on Campus in Protest of New Bill Allowing Concealed Carry

What better way to get back at those gun nuts than to carry around sex toys on campus? That’ll really show’em. Recently, Texas Governor Greg Abbot signed legislation allowing concealed carry on college campuses. Obviously, this has ruffled some feathers, to say the least. Some students at the University of Texas in Austin are protesting the decision, and to show their outrage, they’re bringing dildos on campus. I know, it’s a complete non sequitur, but they think it’s making some Read more […]

It Was a Good Thing This Texan Wasn’t Walking Around in a Gun-Free Zone

If this Texas man were walking around in a “gun-free” state like New York, he could have been killed. At least one of the two robbers who had confronted him was armed and had threatened the innocent man. If he had been killed, liberals would have politicized it as Obama said we should always do with shootings. The murder would have been politicized for the gun control cause. It would have been used to show that there are too many guns out there, that they’re too easy to obtain, and that we Read more […]

Garland, Texas Shooter Bought Fast and Furious Gun

At this time, we don’t know whether his Fast and Furious gun was used in the Garland, Texas shooting where a “Draw Muhammad” contest was being held, but we know that he did purchase a gun five years ago from a gun shop that was selling guns illegally with the feds’ permission. The feds wanted this Phoenix, Arizona shop to sell illegally, allegedly so that they could track where those firearms were going, in hopes of being led to drug cartels and other criminal organizations. The LA Times Read more […]

Bill Nye Blames Texas Floods on Global Warming

What do Bruce Jenner, Rachel Dolezal and Bill Nye all have in common? They all pretend to be something they’re not and expect everyone to cater to their delusions. Bill Nye fancies himself to be a climate scientist. I’m sure he’s a smart guy and all, but science isn’t what he’s all about these days. He’s riding the wave of political celebrity. Many meteorologists take issue with Bill Nye’s dark climate prophecies and arbitrary connections of weather patterns to manmade global Read more […]

Small Texas Towns Rake in Millions from Speeding Tickets

Small towns profit off speeding tickets. That’s how cities and police departments make money. In fact, if it weren’t for the municipal court cases created from speeding citations, there wouldn’t be a police department. Officials always argue that speeding laws are about safety. I think it’s possible that they started out that way, but it didn’t take long for city officials and cops to see how quickly they could make money from speeding laws. Then, cities and small towns started budgeting Read more […]

Texas Poised to Legalize Open Carry for Handguns

In Texas, open carrying rifles is legal, but open carry for handguns is not. It’s one of those leftover laws from 125 years ago that never got repealed. In the wake of the War Between the States, Texas wanted to bar Confederate sympathizers from carrying pistols. The Houston Chronicle reported: … That all changed in 1871, however, when the Legislature first outlawed the carrying of pistols outside of the home: “If any person in this state shall carry on or about his person, saddle, or in his Read more […]

Texas Woman Shoots Home Intruder After he Attacks her Husband

She fired one shot, and the intruder fell to the floor. Some of our readers will be disappointed to find out that the intruder was not killed during the ordeal. The Jacksonville Progress reported on the incident: Cherokee County sheriff’s officers responded to a shooting about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday Read more […]

The Two Garland Shooters Obtained Their Guns “Legally”

It turns out the two Garland shooters obtained their guns “legally.” Liberals think the more restrictions we force on to law-abiding citizens, the safer everybody else will be. While law-abiding citizens will by definition follow the law, criminals by definition won’t let the law stand in their way if they want to commit an act of crime. In the case of someone who’s got a criminal record who wants to obtain a gun, he’ll do whatever he has to do to get a gun. He might borrow one from Read more […]

Golfer Bob Estes blamed a near mass shooting in Garland, Texas on the 2nd Amendment. An anti-Islam event in Garland, Texas drew fire from a couple of Muslims who were offended by the “blasphemous” event that ridiculed the prophet Mohammad with cartoons. The two Muslims who opened fire outside the building were shot and killed by security officers. The gunshot wounds that the security personnel sustained were not life-threatening.
