Atheists Furious Over “In God We Trust” Decals on Police Cars

Atheists are once again in a tizzy over government property donning religious references. The Henderson County Sheriff’s Department in Tennessee put decals on their vehicles that read “In God We Trust.” Someone must have gone to the Freedom From Religion Foundation for rescue. The FFRF sent the Sheriff’s Department a letter, telling them that those decals have no place on government property. They told the department to remove the decals at once. Sheriff Brian Duke responded with a letter Read more […]

Students Told to Write and Recite, “There is no God but Allah;” Atheists Silent

The only religion that Atheist organizations like the Freedom from Religion Foundation and the American Humanist Association really care about is Christianity. To appear objective, Atheists might criticize religions like Islam, but they don’t harbor hatred toward them like they do with Christianity. If a public schoolteacher says anything about being a Christian, Atheists are quick to sue that teacher personally and in his professional capacity for violating the 1st Amendment’s “Establishment Read more […]

Tennessee Cops Search Driver’s Car for Cash After They Prompt Their Drug Dog to “Alert”

On the way back from a funeral in Virginia, a California couple made the mistake of driving through Tennessee. It was a mistake, because Tennessee cops like to target out-of-staters to harass them into searching their cars for cash, which the police will claim is obviously “drug money” that’s promptly confiscated under asset forfeiture laws. This unfortunate couple were attending the husband’s grandfather’s funeral. They were pulled over on the interstate for some alleged minor traffic Read more […]

Beretta Leaves Gun Control Maryland for Pro-Gun Tennessee

Beretta is moving. Democrats in the state of Maryland actually think that their recent gun control bill that went into effect last fall is actually making people and schools safer. The law includes a ban on 45 different “assault” weapons, a 10-round limit on magazines, a requirement that gun buyers submit their fingerprints to the state police, and other provisions that will be ignored by criminals. In the aftermath of the bill’s passage, InfoWars wrote that it would likely drive businesses Read more […]

Man Threatens Girlfriend with Hammer; Son Responds with Handgun

This is a little tricky. A fight broke out among members of a Memphis, Tennessee family. A man, his live-in girlfriend and her son were having a heated argument when the man Tony Hardin chased after the other two with a hammer and a wrench, threatening to kill them. The woman and her son managed to escape, but amid the chaos, the son shot several times at Hardin, who was drunk at the time. Apparently, Hardin survived and is facing several aggravated assault charges. The son isn’t being charged Read more […]

VW Workers in Tennessee Say No to Union

Years ago, unions helped improve worker conditions, rights, benefits and wages.  For that we are all grateful.  However, nowadays, I see unions being more about liberal politics and driving costs so high that companies are forced to move out of the country in order to stay in business. I’ve known unions to go on strike for months, leaving their members to struggle financially.  I recall one strike years ago that lasted 9 months.  The union representatives walked out of negotiations and wouldn’t Read more […]

Beretta Expanding to Tennessee Due to Maryland’s Strict Anti-Gun Laws

In 1977-78, Beretta expanded to the US.  Today, Beretta USA is headquartered in Accokeek, Maryland where it employs around 300 people.  The company has recently spent over $1 million in its plant in Maryland and had plans for further expansion.  But those plans were put on hold last year when Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley (D) signed strict anti-gun bills into law. Maryland’s new laws bans all assault and assault-style weapons and magazines that contain more than 10 rounds and any new Read more […]

Dad Arrested For Trying To Pick Up His Kids From School

It’s actually not a sensationalist headline. This occurred at South Cumberland Elementary School in Tennessee. The dad came to the school on foot right when school was over at 2:00 in the afternoon to pick up his two kids. He was told that wasn’t allowed, and since he stood his ground, requesting to have his own kids released to him so that they could walk home, he was arrested for “disorderly conduct.” According to a new school rule, parents can pick up their kids right at 2:00 as long Read more […]

When Did Tennessee Go Thug?

One of my favorite episodes of the old Star Trek (the original series in the late sixties) was Mirror, Mirror, in which Captain Kirk and a few other crew members have an accident in the transporter and materialize in a parallel universe where the Enterprise is a warship for an evil empire. Spock wears a goatee and the crew gains promotions by assassinating their superiors. It is a nightmare version of reality. That story has always struck me as a powerful metaphor for how our country has changed Read more […]

BATFE Will Never Walk Weapons To These Mexicans

If anyone hears or sees the words, “armed Mexicans,” they immediately think of the violent members of the nations several drug cartels. But now there is another category making itself known in that country. According to the Washington Post: “Hundreds of armed vigilantes have taken control of a town on a major highway in the Pacific coast state of Guerrero, arresting local police officers and searching homes after a vigilante leader was killed. Several opened fire on a car of Mexican tourists Read more […]

Tennessee Legislature Set To Talk About Police Piracy Of Motorists

After two years of horrifying news stories and investigative reporting on the part of News Channel 5, Tennessee lawyers are ready to discuss limiting the easy way that “law enforcement” personnel are encouraged to take money away from travelers to use in their own departments. News 5 reports on the current system: “A prime example, Rich said, is the New Jersey man who had $22,000 cash taken from him during a traffic stop. An officer took George Reby’s money based on his suspicion that it Read more […]
