Students Create Salt and Sugar “Black Market” in Response to Michelle’s Food Rules

If you force kids to eat old, outdated, or bland food for lunch at school, don’t be surprised to find that they’ve created a black market for substances that enhance, or in many cases mask, the flavor of the food. The Washington Free Beacon reported: During a hearing before the House Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education, chaired by Rep. Todd Rokita (R., Ind.), a school administrator told Congress of the “unintended consequences” of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Read more […]

A Public School Can Ban Oreos and Peanut Butter, but 6-Year-Old Meat is Okay

We reported the other day about a five-year-old who was prohibited from eating the Oreos her mom packed in her lunch. The cookies were confiscated from the child whose lunch also consisted of a ham and cheese sandwich and string cheese. A school official sent a note home to the child’s parents, notifying them that the Oreos were not “healthy,” and that since it was a public school setting, they’ve got nutritional rules that all parents must abide by when packing their kids’ lunches. (On Read more […]

Students Find Insect Larvae in Michelle-Approved Lunch

Remember the old days when you could make your own lunch at home and bring it with you to school in a paper brown bag? Nowadays, we know so much better. Students have to eat food out of the cafeteria where the food can be approved by school officials for quality assurance. But I hear it’s pretty hit or miss with regards to quality. Mostly miss. It was Michelle Obama who campaigned so aggressively for the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, an act which has so far left kids unhealthy and starving. Read more […]

Michelle Obama’s School Lunch Menu Still Leaves Kids Starving

The new school lunch menu is abusive. I had a close friend who was recently harassed by the Department of Family and Child Services after an anonymous caller complained about my friend’s kids playing in the neighborhood. A social worker came and interviewed the kids, and thankfully, everything turned out fine, and the case was closed. But during the interrogation, one of the kids commented to their dad that she wanted a snack. Immediately, that raised red flags with the social worker. “Whoa…why Read more […]

Michelle Obama: GOP Is Anti-Science for Allowing Women to Buy Potatoes

Michelle Obama warned readers in an an op-ed for The New York Times on Wednesday that, “Right now, the House of Representatives is considering a bill to override science by mandating that white potatoes be included on the list of foods that women can purchase using WIC dollars. Now, there is nothing wrong with potatoes. The problem is that many women and children already consume enough potatoes and not enough of the nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables they need.” So much for being pro-choice. Read more […]

Let them Eat Cheerios and Peanut Butter and Jelly; We Do!

Some time ago my family outlawed the purchase of meals in our schools cafeteria. I always thought a bag lunch was superior to cafeteria food and I was ecstatic at the thought of decreasing my personal subsidy for public school free breakfast/lunch entitlement programs.  You see I consider them a breeding ground for the “income redistribution” mindset and, as they say, if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. Don’t get me wrong I understand the importance of nutrition’s Read more […]

Schools Paying More to Serve Less Lunch and Students Beginning to Protest

Michelle Obama, the self-proclaimed food czar who still looks heavier than when she moved into the White House, is starting to lose some of her fans in the public schools of America. First Lady Michelle Obama has taken it upon herself to start dictating how and what American should eat.  Her Let’s Move program has become more than just a health recommendation program; it’s becoming a health dictate, especially in the public schools.  Her program has resulted in a number of federal guidelines Read more […]
