Why was Bergdahl Released Without Notifying Congress?

I’m not a huge fan of Dianne Feinstein. So when even she is questioning Obama’s policies, you know something really bad must have happened. Apparently Feinstein was upset that Congress wasn’t notified about the release of Bowe Bergdahl at least thirty days prior to the prisoner exchange—as the law requires. But the White House has responded that the swap was so urgent, there was no time to follow the law. That, and apparently Congress has known about the situation all along and stuff: National Read more […]

Obama’s Perfect Track Record on Crony Capitalism

It seems like Obama would try to be a little less transparent about the crony capitalism that has marked his administration. But apparently, it doesn’t matter to his supporters what he does. A tip for big corporations jockeying for favors from Obama’s DoJ: Make sure you donate heavily to the Democratic Party and/or Obama favorites. If you do, you’ll get huge favors. But if your executives contribute to opponents of Obama, you’re not getting anywhere. If this correlation were not so well-documented, Read more […]

What does SCOTUS Silence on Nuns’ Contraception Mandate Challenge Mean?

Last year the Little Sisters of the Poor Home for the Aged filed for a religious exemption from having to comply with the contraception mandate provision of Obamacare.  Little Sisters is run by a group of Catholic nuns based in Colorado and they have a number of nursing homes in their system. Their initial request was denied and they appealed the denial. The courts upheld their denial stating that the Obama administration had provided a new alternative for religious institutions like Little Sisters Read more […]

GOP Senator Sues Obamacare Over Subsidy For Congress

On Monday, January 6, 2014, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) filed a lawsuit in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin against Obamacare.  But the lawsuit is not what you would expect it to be about.  Johnson is suing over the federal subsidy that Congress and their staff have been given to help them purchase their exchange health plans.  He contends that their subsidies are in violation of the Affordable Car Act. Johnson explained: “The law states that as of Jan. 1, 2014, the Read more […]

Dan Savage: “Abortion Should be Mandatory for About 30 Years”

Sodomite visionary Dan Savage sardonically remarked at some Australian event that abortion should be mandatory for the next 30 years to cut down on our overpopulation problem. He sat on a panel of four individuals and was asked the following question:  “Which so-called dangerous idea do you each think would have the greatest potential to change the world for the better if it were implemented?” Dan was asked to answer the question first, and he replied, “Population control. There’s too Read more […]

Can Has-Been Hillary Fix Male America’s Failures?

To secure her bite at the apple, Hillary Clinton must find a way to avoid criticism of the current President, deflect accountability for her disastrous reign at state, and convince America’s women, seniors, and youth that it is time for a woman to run the Republic. Given that today’s politics believes opinions transcend facts and emotions triumph over commonsense, my fear is she will probably be successful. After all, there is a growing consensus in America that trusting heterosexual god-fearing Read more […]

From Dumb To Dumber: Obama Proposes Subprime Housing Bubble

It is not every day that I have to admit that I have over-estimated the intelligence of politicians, economists, and “journalists” (I should probably have also used quotation marks for the so-called economists). But today is such a day: The following appeared in the Washington Post, not the Onion (though maybe the Onion gave the Obama Administration the original idea): “President Obama’s economic advisers and outside experts say the nation’s much-celebrated housing rebound is leaving Read more […]

Immigration Officers Could Lose Job if They Enforce the Law

At one time, if someone entered the US illegally, they were arrested and deported.  If they entered on a visa and the visa expired, they could be detained and deported. However, under the Obama administration, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents are not allowed to detain or arrest illegal aliens for entering the country illegally or for expired visas.  The only illegals that can be arrested and deported by ICE agents are those that have been convicted of a criminal offense. According Read more […]

Why Bother With Congress When You Make 66 Regulations a Day?

Last week someone wrote about Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) warning that President Obama was using regulations to kill the economy and everything good about America.  Evidently, Sen. Inhofe’s warning was just the tip of the iceberg. I don’t know if Obama was preparing to enact as much legislation as he could before possibly losing the election or what, but a new report out states that in the last 90 days, the Obama administration has posted 5,932 regulations.  This amounts to a whopping 68 per Read more […]
