Why Americans Hate Incumbents Yet Still Re-Elect Them

In a recent article, PolitiFact ran the data and apparently the approval rating for Congress is around 14%, yet the incumbent re-election rate is around 95%. Just in case you just suffered blunt force trauma to the head, let me explain why that statistic is odd. It means potential voters overwhelmingly hate the people who are currently in office, and yet actual voters overwhelmingly re-elect those same despised individuals. That is odd, to say the least. But what exactly does it mean? I think Read more […]

Charlie Rangel: Republicans Believe “Slavery Isn’t Over”

Charlie Rangel went on an angry rant recently about the danger of Republicans gaining an upper hand in civil government. On the campaign trail to support New York’s Democrat governor Andrew Cuomo, Rangel stirred up popular fear with some choice words about Cuomo’s Republican opponents: We have to win. We have to be able to send a national message with Andrew Cuomo. And the thing is: Everything we believe in — everything we believe in — they hate. They don’t disagree — they hate! Read more […]

Gallup Poll: Voter Opposition to Obama at an All-Time High

A recent Gallup poll indicates that voters are unhappier with Obama than they’ve been with his last two predecessors: Registered voters are more likely to view their choice of candidate in this year’s midterm elections as a message of opposition (32%) rather than support (20%) for President Barack Obama. What’s Read more […]

Polls Show Democrats Losing Grip on Senate Control

Going into this year’s midterm elections, Republicans would have to win six seats from the Democrats in order to take control over the Senate. This is harder than you think since only about a third of the 100 senate seats are up for election. With barely a month to go before Americans head to the polls, it appeared that Democrats had actually started to gain some ground in many of the polls. However this past week has seen a marked change in those polls that are now swinging to the Republican Read more […]

Liberal Media Ignoring Obama’s Dismal Poll Results Because of Midterm Elections

I recall in the 2006 midterm elections, the liberal media had a field day publicizing President George W. Bush’s low poll results. They played up his poor approval ratings and made sure everyone knew before the election just how much trouble the Republican Party was in trouble. Democrats gained ground in that election and paved the way for total Democratic victory in 2008. Prior to the 2010 midterm elections, the same liberal mainstream media did their best to publicize any negative poll results Read more […]
