Cops Sets up “Crosswalk Sting” to Entrap Drivers and Rake in Some Cash…for Safety, of Course

It’s not clear whether the police department paid a civilian or just used an undercover cop to cross the street back and forth in hopes that the police hiding around the corner would catch those drivers who didn’t yield to the crossing pedestrian. NYPD Beat Up, Hospitalizes 84-Year-Old Man For Jaywalking

The NYPD are cracking down on jaywalkers. In their attempt to “keep the streets safe,” they beat up and bloodied an 84-year-old man for his street-crossing violation. I guess they literally want the streets to be safe, not people.
