IRS Employees Fueling the Democrat Party Machine!

A Daily Caller News Foundation analysis of data found Internal Revenue Service (IRS) employees have backed Democrats over Republicans by 2-1 in their political donations over the last 25 years. Donors listing the IRS as their employer have donated roughly $453,800 to Democratic candidates and causes and $221,400 to Republican candidates and causes since 1990. About one in four of the dollars for Democrats, or roughly $117,500, went to President Barack Obama. But IRS employees Read more […]

Judge tells IRS to Stop Protecting Obama Administration!

White House emails to the IRS about individual tax returns cannot be exempted by the embattled agency under the Freedom of Information Act, a federal judge ruled late Friday. United States District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson ruled Section 6103 of the tax code does not justify the IRS from withholding from FOIA requesters by refusing to say whether the records exist. She ordered the IRS to respond properly to an FOIA request submitted by the non-profit watchdog group Cause of Action. “As Read more […]

Calls Renewed to Fire or Impeach the IRS Commissioner!

Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, and 20 other members of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee called Monday for President Barack Obama to remove IRS Commissioner John Koskinen, after weeks of speculation they might call for his impeachment. OGR Chair Chaffetz and other Republicans on the panel accuse Koskinen of obstructing multiple congressional investigations into the IRS targeting of conservative groups seeking non-profit status during the 2010 and 2012 election campaigns. “It’s Read more […]

Obama: IRS Targeting Scandal Never Existed

IRS targeting is not the problem, he says. The IRS’ lack of money is the problem. According to the Democrats, the scandal where the IRS targeted non-profit conservative, tea party groups for special scrutiny never existed. In fact, if there were any scandal involving the IRS, the scandal was all Congress’s for leaving the IRS high and dry and underfunded. Politicians always think the answer to any problem having to do with their pet government agencies is to increase their funding. Government Read more […]

IRS Employees Openly Cheated Taxes – Got Promotions Anyway!

Turns out working for the IRS means you don’t have to pay them. Nearly 1,600 IRS employees didn’t pay their taxes over the last ten years, and more than half of those willful tax cheats weren’t fired because the commissioner saved their job, according to a new inspector general report released to the public Wednesday. Some employees even got promotions less than one year after they were caught cheating on their taxes. Section 1203 of the IRS Restructuring and Reform Act clearly Read more […]

The IRS Deliberately Cut Customer Service Budget? Why?

A report by the House Ways and Means Committee claims that the IRS is “doing less with less”—intentionally cutting its customer service budget in order to “punish” taxpayers for IRS budget cuts: IRS Commissioner John Koskinen has blamed the IRS’s “abysmal” customer service on congressional budget cuts — funding is down $1.2 billion from its 2010 peak — but a new congressional report points the finger back at the IRS. While congressional funding for the IRS remained flat from Read more […]

IRS Ethics Lawyer Disbarred and Fired for Ethics Violation

Keep in mind that this is in no way an isolated incident. Government agencies only take disciplinary measures against their “rogue” employees when too many people in the public find out about it. It enhances the public image of a government agency when they fire or suspend an employee for misconduct. It also gives the agency heads an opportunity to grandstand and talk about how they don’t tolerate such bad behavior. In truth, if they actually didn’t tolerate such bad behavior, we wouldn’t Read more […]

IRS Ethics Lawyer Disbarred for Ethics Violations

The IRS really needs more ethics scandals, don’t you think? It would just be a shame if the governmental agency responsible for siphoning off a third of America’s wealth weren’t filled with corrupt, unethical individuals. That’s why it was refreshing to see Lois Lerner’s dedication to opacity and corruption. And this most recent news is also quite encouraging: A lawyer who worked in the IRS ethics office was disbarred Thursday by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, which concluded Read more […]

IRS Seizes $19,000 from Widow for Depositing Late Husband’s Cash

Sixty-eight-year-old Janet Malone’s husband died of cancer in October of 2011. Before he died, he told his wife that he had about $180,000 in cash in a briefcase. It was money he had made as a publishing executive, but also included money he had made from gambling and investments. Even though it was totally, legally obtained money, the law says that you can’t just deposit it all at once. If you were to, that would mean that you’re a drug dealer or terrorist. Or worse, a tax evader. So, Read more […]

Senator Ted Cruz says he Would Abolish the IRS!

This is why we LOVE Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). He may not have crowds of adoring fans among the establishment, but his willingness to say the things we so desperately want to hear means that we grassroots conservatives hang on his every word. Ted Cruz actually says he wants to abolish the IRS!    Republican Sen. Ted Cruz said Monday that Republicans should take advantage of their control of Congress to abolish the Internal Revenue Service. “We need to pass fundamental tax reform Read more […]

Evidence Shows White House Involved in IRS Targeting Scandal from Beginning

From the moment the IRS targeting scandal was made public, I contended that Barack Obama and the White House were at the heart of the targeting. I’ve written many times that then IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman made far more visits to the White House than any other cabinet member. Before Shulman’s departure, he made 157 visits to the White House. The next most frequent cabinet member visitor was Acting Secretary of Commerce Rebecca Blank with only 86 visits. Attorney General Eric Holder only Read more […]
