Daily Beast: Hurricane Joaquin “Another Word for Climate Change”

Predictably, right after news of Hurricane Joaquin broke, and that it had the potential to be another Sandy, liberals were quick to blame it on manmade global warming, or “climate change.” Daily Beast contributor Michael Shank, PhD blamed Joaquin on us and our out-of-control carbon emissions: Hurricanes love warm water and the sea surface temperatures in Joaquin’s path are the warmest ever on record.  Thank humans for that. Last year broke all records for the hottest year and highest emissions Read more […]

Major Hurricanes at All-Time Record Low

Major hurricanes are defined as a category 3 or higher, and according to the data, they’re at a record all-time low. The last time such a “hurricane drought” was recorded was back in the 1860’s, and that drought lasted about eight years. We’re currently going on ten years without a major hurricane, the last one being Hurricane Wilma which made landfall in October of 2005. CNS News reported: It has been 117 months since a major hurricane, defined as a Category 3 or above, has made landfall Read more […]

NOAA: No Major Hurricane Seen in U.S. for Last 10 Years

Even NOAA is setting the record straight about major hurricanes (or the lack thereof) in the U.S. While we have seen hurricanes, we haven’t seen any major hurricanes, which are defined as category 3 or above, for the last decade, which is an all-time record. Some of the category 3 hurricanes we’ve seen recently started out as category 3 and then fell to 1 or 2 by the time they made landfall. Those don’t count. CNS News reported: That is the longest stretch of time the United States has gone Read more […]

Cyclones, Hurricanes, Droughts at Record Lows Despite Global Warming Hysteria

It takes a lot of faith to believe in something that’s as detached from reality as manmade global warming. The evidence has already shown that atmospheric carbon dioxide doesn’t make the planet warmer. It’s been discussed time and time again that in spite of record carbon emissions in recent years, there’s been no correlating increase in global temperature. Yet, in spite of all the evidence, liberals insist on believing that humans are making the planet heat up. They believe that in making Read more […]

Record Low Hurricane Activity, Despite Fear-Mongering from Global Warmists

How much longer is hysteria despite record low hurricane activity going to last? First, they tried to tie the oil companies and the Koch brothers to global warming by claiming that burning coal and gasoline is making the Earth heat up at unprecedented rates. While it might be true that carbon emissions have gone up, we haven’t seen evidence that shows a correlation between carbon emissions and average global temperature. It’s kind of hard to show correlation and causation when the globe stopped Read more […]

Hurricane Occurrences at 30-Year Low Despite Global Warming Hysteria

First, it was the 17-year hiatus in global warming, despite record levels of carbon emissions over the past several decades. Now, there’s a report showing that the number of hurricanes has reached a 30-year low. And like the warming hiatus, alarmists will certainly have an excuse for this one. Here’s the Daily Caller: The “hurricane drought” in the U.S. continues, as last year saw the lowest number of hurricanes since 1982, according to government storm data. For the 2013 hurricane season Read more […]
