5 Cops Blow the Whistle on Insane Ticket Quotas; City Council Votes to Disband Police Department

Ticket Quotas Are Robbery! I’m sure the city council itself was involved somehow, but after five cops came forward with evidence that they were obligated to fulfill unrealistic speeding ticket quotas, the council voted 4 -1 to disband the police department. The city of Waldo is a small town with a population of just over a 1,000 people. Despite the small population, the city was able to rake in $1 million last year, almost half of which came solely from speeding tickets, which was designated Read more […]

School Choice Programs Survive Despite Challenges from Teachers’ Unions

Have you ever heard of an education savings account? Arizona enacted a law to establish this helpful program and now other states are starting to follow their example. So what is the account? According to the Friedman Foundation: “Under Arizona’s plan, designed by the Goldwater Institute in 2005 and enacted in 2011, the state awards eligible families 90 percent of their children’s per student public funding, based on a state formula. The Arizona Department of Education deposits the money in Read more […]

Atheists Fight to be Able to “Pray” at Town Council Meetings

Atheists spend so much time and energy trying to convince people that they’re not religious. They claim to abhor religion and want it completely eradicated. So, part of their shtick is to file lawsuits to get nativity scenes dismantled or to get Ten Commandments displays taken down, on the basis that they represent violations of their sacred 1st Amendment rights. No government at any level is to have anything to do with any kind of religion, and particularly Christianity. Never mind the fact Read more […]

Miami-Dade Police Urge Residents to Lock and Load

Miami’s mayor has apparently decided to cut the police budget by some $64 million, possibly wiping out as many as 600 jobs. As a result, the president of the Miami-Dade Benevolent Police Association John Rivera is advising county residents to arm themselves. According to TruthRevolt.org: Speaking to WSVN News, Rivera said, “If the mayor’s not going to provide security, then my recommendation, as an experienced law enforcement officer for nearly 40 years, is either buy yourself an attack Read more […]

How to Meet Quotas: Florida Police Consider All Residents “Suspicious”

Since police can now consider everything we do “suspicious,” they can pull over, detain, or arrest anyone for anything. It used to be that the 4th Amendment protected against all unreasonable searches and seizures, but they’ve been steadily redefining “unreasonable” for the past several decades. Bottom line:  if a cop does anything at all to you, then by definition, it was not unreasonable. Of course, this isn’t just an aggressive crime deterrent. It’s not public safety that they’re Read more […]

Discrimination: Man Sues for Right to Marry his Computer; Judge Throws Out Case

How could the judge be so callous toward this guy who had what he believed to be a meaningful relationship with his computer? It’s discrimination, pure and simple. How would marrying his “sexual object of choice,” as Chris Sevier calls it, harm anyone else? If you don’t like the idea of marrying a machine, then don’t marry a machine, right? If you think such an idea is weird or sick, then please keep your hateful, bigoted and intolerant thoughts to yourself. Salt Lake City’s Fox affiliate Read more […]

Phoniest Former Republican Ever, Charlie Crist, Left GOP for Their Racism

If ever there was a political opportunist, that man is Charlie Crist, former governor of Florida. His motto is essentially, “What do you believe? That’s what I believe too!” He has no conviction to stick to a position. He is the definition of slime. You may recall that Crist decided against running for re-election in 2010 to vie instead for a Senate seat. He was the frontrunner in the Republican primary, but then a Marco Rubio gained traction and Crist trailed in the polls ever after. Realizing Read more […]

Florida Woman Paying for 2 Health Plans because She Couldn’t Un-enroll from Obamacare

Another sign of the incompetency of those who built the Obamacare enrollment program surface in the life and trials of Melissa Battles, a Florida mother.  She initially went online to enroll in an exchange healthcare program.  She found the process long, tedious and convoluted. She eventually discovered that she qualified for a federal subsidy since she did not have a full time job at the time.  Then she had to undergo more online gymnastics in selecting a Healthy Kids plan for her autistic Read more […]

Anti-Obamacare Republican David Jolly Wins Florida Special Election for House Seat

Charles William Young, better known to many as Bill Young was first elected to the US House of Representatives in 1971, where he represented the people of the sunshine state of Florida.  At the beginning of last October, Young was admitted to Walter Reed Hospital suffering from a broken hip and fractured pelvis.  Young also suffered from a blood cancer concentrated in the bone marrow that caused his bones to become very brittle, which prevented the doctors from being able to surgically repair his Read more […]

FL Dem Pushes Immigration Reform so there are People to Clean Hotel Rooms and do Our Landscaping

Over the past couple of years, we’ve all heard a number of reasons of why we need immigration reform.  Some say we have to do something to make all of the illegals legal so they can be taxed and contribute to the economy.  Others say we can’t deport them all and I always ask why not?  We hold anyone else accountable for the crimes they commit so why should illegals be any different? Regretfully, very few say we need immigration reform because it takes too long for many people to be able Read more […]

Florida Cops Make Millions Dealing Cocaine

What the cops and all the other drug war proponents would tell you is that the cops are trying to keep people safe by putting these bad guys in jail. So, the millions of dollars in overtime pay and forfeiture proceeds are for all their hard work and dedication. Apparently, one sergeant even pulled in $240,000 in overtime in three-and-a-half years for a total compensation of $630,000. They call them “reverse sting operations.” A traditional sting operation usually involves undercover cops and Read more […]

Why Shouldn’t The False Accuser Owe Zimmerman Defense Expenses?

I had no idea Florida had such a civilized law system, but people are treating it as if it were some kind of scandal. The state of Florida now owes George Zimmerman an amount ranging between two to three hundred thousand dollars. As the Orlando Sentinel opines and reports: “George Zimmerman, the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who killed Trayvon Martin, plans to ask the state of Florida to cover $200,000 to $300,000 of his legal expenses, his attorney told the Orlando Sentinel Monday evening. Because Read more […]
