Multiple Churches Bless Abortion Clinics

Pro-Faith, Pro-Family, Pro-Choice. That’s the slogan being used by a coalition of Methodist and Episcopal Reverends that have joined forces to tell the world that being a Christian doesn’t mean you can’t support abortion. Breitbart reports that Rev. Tracey Lind, dean of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, said of an abortion clinic in Ohio: “Bless this building. May its walls stand strong against the onslaught of shame thrown at it. May it be a beacon of hope for those who need its services.” Rev. Harry Read more […]

Barack Obama Christian or Not?

Is President Obama Christian or something else? “People’s character is their behavior – we’re all capable of good and evil.” – Bertie Carvel It’s often repeated that one’s character is defined by the actions he takes, but on the other side of the coin, character is also defined by the actions one doesn’t take. It’s not as if we only choose what we do, we also choose what we do not do. We are active even in our inaction. Environmentalism: The Liberal’s Religion of Choice

“This readiness to assume the guilt for the threats to our environment is deceptively reassuring: We like to be guilty since, if we are guilty, it all depends on us. We pull the strings of the catastrophe, so we can also save ourselves simply by changing our lives…We recycle old paper, we buy organic food, we install long-lasting light bulbs—whatever—just so we can be sure that we are doing something. Hillary Clinton’s Religious Revival!

“Faith is a living, daring confidence in God’s grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times.” – Martin Luther Faith is a critical aspect of the lives of millions of Americans. Not only religious faith, but faith in our leaders to move in the right direction, faith in each other to make coherent decisions, and faith that when it comes down to it, we will be better than we were before. Religious faith is used by many people as a base out of which their political Read more […]

Without Faith We Are Exiled To Coward Nation

Last Saturday at a flea market in Portsmouth, VA, the police found some man who had some outstanding warrants. When they approached, he managed to barricade himself in a bathroom. Nothing in the story mentions a weapon or suspicion that he might have a weapon of any kind. Nevertheless, the nearby Portsmouth campus of Tidewater Community College “was put on lockdown as a precaution and the ramp from I-264 to Victory Blvd was closed to traffic.” Friday morning, at L. C. Mohr High School, in Read more […]

Illinois Pharmacies Allowed To Refuse to Sell Items That Violate Their Religious Faith

Former Illinois Governor Rod Blogojevich didn’t seem to care about upholding the law in more ways than one.  He is currently serving a prison sentence for trying to sell the senate seat vacated when Barack Obama was elected to the White House. Illinois has a law on its books that forbids the government from forcing people to provide healthcare that goes against the person’s religious beliefs.  But Blogojevich ignored the law and issued an executive order requiring all pharmacists had to Read more […]
