Socialist Bernie Sanders: Living in a Mansion Like the White House Would be Like “Public Housing”

During a Democratic Presidential forum, someone asked Bernie Sanders an interesting question:  “Is it off-brand for a Democratic socialist to live in a mansion like the White House?” Sanders responded, “I would consider it more like public housing.” While the first family does have to pick up the tab for some things such as food, they don’t have to pay rent, a mortgage, or utility bills. John F. Groom, author of The $1.4 Billion Man:  Costs of the Obama White House, broke down the Read more […]

Have the Clinton’s Been Paying of the DNC? It Sure Looks Like It!

Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee have an unprecedented and unusual agreement in which an entity she controls has paid nearly $20 million to the political panel, even as its leadership plays a supposedly impartial role in fostering competition between the former secretary of state and her rivals for the party’s 2016 presidential nomination. Clinton created a “joint fundraising committee” Sept. 10 that funneled big-money donations in excess of the per-campaign limit to Read more […]

Why the Apolitical Class Always Falls Victim to the Lies of the Left, and What We Can Do About it

I’ve been surrounded by liberalism for many years. My circle of friends is almost entirely liberal, and most of my non-liberal friends are apolitical, leaving them susceptible to political manipulation. Apolitical people tend to lack the ability–whether inborn or learned–to see deceit. Given that, they often fall for liberal ideology, as it is rife with deceit. Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders tweeted the following Monday: “Nobody can recall a Christmas Eve where Read more […]

Bernie Sanders and the Economic Illiteracy of the Left

The day after Christmas Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT or D-VT) tweeted what was likely the most economically illiterate tweet of the presidential campaign. In it, Sanders wondered at the idea that some folks were paying 6, 8 or even 10% on their student loan debt but those same people could refinance their homes at 3%. The presidential candidate was astounded. You have families out there paying 6, 8, 10 percent on student debt but you can refinance your homes at 3 percent. What sense is that?— Read more […]

Bernie Sanders calls Donald Trump a “Liar”, Jeb Bush Calls Trump a “Jerk”

Donald Trump has been fielding a lot of criticism the last few months and as Christmas nears, those attacks are getting ever more severe. On Sunday, socialist candidate for president (in the Democrat Party) Bernie Sanders (I-VT) took to ABC News where he called Trump a LIAR. But Sanders wasn’t the only candidate bashing Trump on Sunday. Jeb Bush was in Contoocook, New Hampshire speaking to a crowd of supporters when he told them that there was something he needed to get off of his chest… Read more […]

If You’re Pro-Bernie Sanders, Please Read This, Pt. 3

“It’s amazing to me how many people think that voting to have the government give poor people money is compassion. Helping poor and suffering people yourself is compassion. Voting for our government to use guns to give money to help poor and suffering people is immoral, self-righteous, bullying laziness.” – Penn Jillette In part one of my series on Bernie Sanders and Democratic Socialism, I argued that it was not corporations that bear the burden of wealth inequality, but the government, which Read more […]

If You’re Pro-Bernie Sanders, Please Read This, Pt. 2

“You cannot bring prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot help small men by tearing down big men. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich.” – Rev. William John Henry Boetcker In part one of my series on Bernie Sanders and Democratic Socialism, I dispelled the myth that business, as well as those considered affluent, are the acting parties behind inequitable distribution Read more […]

If You’re Pro-Bernie Sanders, Please Read This, Pt. 1

“Socialism states that you owe me something simply because I exist. Capitalism, by contrast, results in a sort of reality-forced altruism: I may not want to help you, I may dislike you, but if I don’t give you a product or service you want, I will starve. Voluntary exchange is more moral than forced redistribution.” – Ben Shapiro I understand the appeal of Bernie Sanders. I certainly do. I myself am a free-market capitalist because I believe it’s simply the best means by which we can achieve greatness Read more […]

Donald Trump’s Female Employees Love Him… Just Not as President

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has been criticized in the past for comments perceived as sexist, but Trump and several of his female employees say he is great for women. Trump’s comments about rival Carly Fiorina and FOX News host Megyn Kelly drew sharp criticism across the political spectrum, but Trump tells The Washington Post he’s done a great amount to help women in the workplace. “I have been very, very good for women. I was way ahead of the curve,” Trump says Read more […]

Gmail Filters Warn that Bernie Sanders Campaign Email is a Phishing Scam

If you were waiting for the day when computers finally proved they were more discerning than humans, it’s your lucky day. Gmail has automated filters to mark various spam and scam emails as either suspicious or junk, and it turns out that some of the language in Bernie Sanders’ most recent campaign newsletter automatically triggered Gmail’s “phishing scam” warning: The Google Mail algorithm has determined emails from the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign are fraudulent because anything Read more […]

How ‘Feeling the Bern’ Will Lead Us to Total Economic Collapse

“The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples’ money.” – Margaret Thatcher As economist Milton Friedman famously said, there’s no free lunch. What he meant was that money doesn’t simply materialize from the ether, rather, it comes from a source. What you get for free is being paid for by someone, and that someone is often you–you just don’t know it. Nothing is free. Not a thing. So it astounds me to see tens of thousands of people who, for all intents and purposes Read more […]

The Big Question that Bernie Sanders and His Supporters Avoid

The brilliant libertarian Tom Woods asks the one question that no Bernie Sanders supporter seems to want to answer. If Bernie and his supporters are right and “greed” and the 1% are to blame for our economic policies… why can’t the other world nations (who are vastly poorer than even the poorest Americans) demand that we (all Americans) give them our money? Woods has written a wonderful e-book that you can get for free at explaining why Bernie is completely wrong about Read more […]
