New York Governor Cuomo Calls for National Gun Control After Aide Shot

One of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s top aides, a Harvard-educated lawyer, was shot by a stray bullet during parade festivities in Crown Heights when he found himself in the middle of a gang fight. Carey Gabay jumped between two parked cars to get out of the gunfire, but the top of his head was grazed by a bullet. He’s in critical condition at the hospital in a medically-induced coma. At least five others were injured, one fatally, during the gang mayhem. Governor Cuomo said that this incident Read more […]

Taxpayers are Leaving New York in Droves

It was reported recently by Americans for Tax Reform that taxpayers are overwhelmingly leaving Democrat-controlled states and moving to Republican-controlled states. New York was the biggest loser when it came to its taxpaying population. Liberals like high taxes, because they think that will bring in the most tax revenue to fund their ever-growing government and pet projects. What they don’t consider is that the higher the taxes, the more people want to move away to another state that doesn’t Read more […]

New York Fights Over Minimum Wage Hike

As workers rallied Monday in the hopes that a newly appointed board will raise the minimum wage for fast food workers in New York, business leaders warned against targeting certain industries. Earlier in the month, a board appointed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, met for the first time to answer the question of whether to raise the minimum wage for fast food workers in the state. With its most recent meeting Monday, supporters rallied to raise wages to $15 an hour. As The Associated Press Read more […]

Global Warming? What Stinkin’ Global Warming?

There’s just no winning with the Church of Climatology. Those rabid devotees of the world’s most fanatical religion (i’m not looking at you Islam) – the not-so-great church of Global Warming – no matter what happens with the climate or the weather, that will no doubt be pointed to as proof positive that they are right. The believers in this worldwide cult, led by their prophet Al Gore, cry out day and night for the blood (and money) of our people… and it seems that nothing can sway their devotion. Remember Read more […]

Teachers Unions Furious with Liberal Governor for Vetoing his Own Bill!

Teachers Unions in New York are FURIOUS with Liberal Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) after he chose to veto his own legislation earlier this week. The bill would have made it more difficult for schools to fire bad teachers (something which is already incredibly hard to do in New York) but Gov. Cuomo apparently had second thoughts…   New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has stunned the state’s teaching establishment by vetoing a bill he introduced that would have protected them from the consequences Read more […]

Republican Congressman Resigns after Pleading Guilty to Felony Tax Evasion

Republican Rep. Michael Grimm announced his resignation late Monday, after he pleaded guilty to a felony tax evasion charge last week. Grimm was just re-elected to a third term while facing the 20-count indictment, and said last week he would “absolutely not” resign, reports The New York Times. But after a meeting with Speaker of House John Boehner Monday, he announced a change of heart. House ethics rules could have rendered him essentially useless to his New York district of Staten Read more […]

Charlie Rangel: Republicans Believe “Slavery Isn’t Over”

Charlie Rangel went on an angry rant recently about the danger of Republicans gaining an upper hand in civil government. On the campaign trail to support New York’s Democrat governor Andrew Cuomo, Rangel stirred up popular fear with some choice words about Cuomo’s Republican opponents: We have to win. We have to be able to send a national message with Andrew Cuomo. And the thing is: Everything we believe in — everything we believe in — they hate. They don’t disagree — they hate! Read more […]

White Male New Yorkers Not A Proud Point For Gov. Cuomo

I saw a commercial on TV last night for Start-Up NY, which, as its website explains, “is a groundbreaking new initiative from [New York] Governor Andrew M. Cuomo that will provide major incentives for businesses to relocate, start up or significantly expand in New York State….” The commercial is much like Texas Governor Rick Perry’s commercials that played in Maryland a few months ago to encourage entrepreneurial Marylanders to move to tax-friendly Texas. I had a suspicion that this Start-Up Read more […]

Governor Cuomo Says Conservatives Have No Place In His State

“You have a schism within the Republican Party…They’re searching to define their soul, that’s what’s going on. Is the Republican party in this state a moderate party or is it an extreme conservative party…Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York…” – Governor Andrew Cuomo It’s funny. The Read more […]

Christie Refuses To Support GOP Opponent to Democratic NY Gov. Cuomo

I’ve been saying all along the New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is a Democrat in Republican clothes.  He has regularly aligned himself with Democrats such as Barack Obama, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and outgoing New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.  He has sided with Democrats on a number of liberal issues such as same-sex marriage, Obamacare, supporting Muslims with known terrorist ties and many of the fiscal cliff standoffs. Yet, a number of Republicans still list Christie’s name in the Read more […]
