To Protect Himself, Obama Traded Five Terrorists For One Traitor

“A man’s character is his fate.” – Heraclitus I’m not sure how many times I can write about Obama’s character. It seems as though I’ve written about it more times than I can count, but that is only because it is so important. Character is everything we are, from our thoughts to our actions, from the deepest corners of our minds to the most outer reaches of our bodies. If our character is corrupt, there can be no other side to the story. Character is both sides of the coin. Barack Obama—from Read more […]

Soldier’s Release From Taliban Used To Cover Up VA Scandal?

“When it comes to controlling human beings, there is no better instrument than lies. Because, you see, humans live by beliefs. And beliefs can be manipulated. The power to manipulate beliefs is the only thing that counts.” – Michael Ende The best liars hold the most influence in our society. They create worlds, and destroy reality as easily as they breathe. However, liars can’t get away with their behavior forever. There generally comes a time when liars become tangled in their own web, lost in Read more […]

White House Accidentally Reveals Name of Top CIA Spook in Afghanistan

In 2003, members of the Bush administration accidentally leaked the name of Valerie Plame as being a CIA operative. The administration was raked over the coals by the liberal Democrats for the unconscionable leak that endangered Plame and her family’s lives. They claimed that her named was intentionally released because her husband, Joseph C. Wilson, a former US Ambassador to Gabon, São Tomé and Príncipe, was openly critical of Bush’s invasion into Iraq. Chief of Staff to Vice President Dick Read more […]

US Still Buying 90 Russian Helicopters for Afghanistan in Spite of Sanctions against Russia

America builds some of the best helicopters in the world, a number of which are used by the military.  My favorite is the AH-64 Apache which was built in my hometown of Mesa, Arizona for a number a years.  At one time there wasn’t a day go by that I didn’t see at least one Apache helicopter being test flown in the area.  Originally built by McDonald Douglas, the Apache became the property of the Boeing Company after a merger of the two companies and then Boeing sold off McDonald Douglas. There Read more […]

Bush vs. Obama: Who’s the Better Commander in Chief, According to Vets of Iraq, Afghanistan?

Conservatives are not, I don’t think, exactly fans of President George W. Bush as a president, but they (and I) usually say they like him as a person. As a president, ol’ W. certainly was no true conservative. He campaigned on promises of conservatism, but once he got in office he shifted leftward and led like a moderate—probably how we can expect his nephew Jeb Bush to lead if Republicans are so imbecilic as to nominate him to be the candidate who goes up against Hillary Clinton in 2016. As Read more […]

Rumsfeld: “Trained Ape” Better Diplomat than Obama

Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld delivered a scathing review of the Obama administration’s diplomatic debacles in Afghanistan. I’m sure many people will call him a racist, but his remarks were not ad hominem. For the most part, they constrained themselves to facts. Rumsfeld is obviously frustrated with the current international situation, but I think that is also based on the facts—and completely warranted. Here is a choice excerpt from his interview with Greta Van Susteren: Our Read more […]

U.S. Maintains Presence In Afghanistan To Facilitate Opium Trafficking

It kind of makes you wonder what we’ve really been doing in the Middle East all these years. Most of the people that our government blamed for 9/11 are either dead or captured. Yet our wars and involvement there continue. Since Obama’s been in office, our troop presence in Afghanistan has increased from a little over 32,000 in 2009 to as high as 98,000 in 2010. CNS News pointed out that as of October of this year, there are still about 60,000 U.S. troops in Afghanistan. While our troop Read more […]

Karzai To Obama: Don’t Drone Me, Bro!

It’s difficult to determine what is more disturbing on the topic of drone strikes: that they occur at all, or how little public outcry there has been. Their use has never been one that that has been publicly accepted and there has never been any real debate within either the current or the previous administrations. They just began and voters haven’t really shown any interest in making it an issue come election time. The New America Foundation estimates that nearly 300 non-combatant civilians Read more […]

Army Officer Sentenced To 20 Years For Doing His Duty In Afghanistan

I remember Vietnam and what happened to some of our military personnel that served over there.  A kid I grew up with was drafted and sent to Vietnam at age 19.  Four months later he found himself in the jungle peering down at small village that had been taken over by the Viet Cong.  Their orders were not to shoot until the enemy fired first.  Bob told me that he had a Viet Cong soldier in his rifle sights and had to watch as the enemy loaded and fired a mortar shell in his direction.  As soon Read more […]

US Ready To Enter Negotiations With Taliban?

Joyce Brothers said: “Trust your hunches. They’re usually based on facts filed away just below the conscious level.” Unquestionably, there is merit in trust. Having trust in other people is a basic and necessary part of life. Without trust, we would remain isolated; never able to form relationships with other people. However, just as important as holding trust in someone else, is holding trust in yourself; in your own instincts. In politics, sometimes, trusting your own instincts is all Read more […]

A Thousand Excuses For Foreign Aid To Nowhere; But No Excuse Allowed To End Aid

Everyone once in a while you see a news story that just screams about everything that is wrong with the United States Imperial Ruling Class and their money habits. By “their money habits” I don’t mean it is their money. It is our money under the control of their habits of how to spend that money. Under the accurate headline, “US aid spending unlikely to change, despite $8 billion wasted in Iraq,” the Christian Science Monitor reports that “experts” believe that “we” (i.e. the Read more […]

Al-Qaeda Training Taliban in Afghanistan

In the past month or so, there has been an increase in the number of insider attacks taking place in Afghanistan.  Insider attacks are those where members of the police and army attack and kill other members of the police and army. The Taliban is claiming responsibility for these attacks and others.  Some of the newer Taliban attacks are demonstrating capabilities that are beyond what they’ve been capable of in the past.  Their methods and frequencies have been ramping up since the announcement Read more […]
