Public Schools Teach Of The Biblical Benevolence Of Barack

For those who had to suffer through Thanksgiving dinner receiving text-messaged talking points about Obamacare from your liberal relatives, I’m sorry to say I cannot offer you a palette cleanser. What I have is actually gross, and it comes from has found a language arts lesson plan for third-, fourth- and fifth-graders revolving around [an Obama biography] at the website The description of the $3.60 lesson plan by Sherece Bennett boasts that it is officially “aligned” with the Common Core State Standards Initiative, an attempt to standardize various K-12 curricula around the country.

That book is 2008’s K-3 book titled Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope. I had never heard of this book until reading the Daily Caller’s take on it, but “creepy” doesn’t even begin to touch on what’s wrong with it. summarizes parts of the book:

In one passage, a young Obama sees beggars and wonders, “Will I ever be able to help people like these?”

Obama’s presidency created a lot more beggars, testament to how much he loves them.

Another excerpt from the book reads: “Before dawn each morning, Barry rose–his mother’s voice driving him from dream land. ‘Time for learning English grammar and the Golden Rule. Be honest, be kind, be fair,’ she taught him.”

The Golden Rule, of course, is from the Bible. The book tells its young readers that Obama was this benevolent boy who grew up believing in honesty, kindness, and fairness. That may have been the case, but considering his mother was spiritually confused and more or less a new-age atheist, that’s hard to believe. If that is what he was taught by her (I assure you it wasn’t), then Obama certainly didn’t retain that lesson. Additionally, “Be honest, be kind, be fair” is not the Golden Rule. The Golden Rule is “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” But what’s a little mis-education in government schools?

The story continues: “One morning, he slipped on the name he’d been born with. The name of his father, Barack. For the first time in his life, he wore it proudly – like a coat of many colors.”

Another allusion to Obama’s being a biblical figure.

The Common Core lesson plan that uses this book calls for students to make a collage of Obama.

“Have students bring in magazines and photos of President Obama. Have students create a collage about Barack Obama based on the information from the text. The collage should represent pictures and words about Barack Obama.”

A shrine, if you will.

Hopefully if there are any conservative parents out there who still have their kids enrolled in government education, this wakes them up and they begin homeschooling immediately to wash their minds of this and other blasphemous propaganda.
