The Left, the champions of the 1st Amendment that they are, want any scientist (or “scientist,” as they would say) imprisoned on criminal negligence charges for denying “settled science,” where over 95% of manmade global warming alarmists believe that man is causing global warming at a catastrophic degree. Over 95% of atheists believe that there is no God. With that many atheists going in that direction, it’s got to mean something, doesn’t it?
The rule is if you adhere to the official narrative about manmade global warming, you need absolutely no pertinent credentials. In fact, you don’t even have to have any credentials. But if you choose to raise questions about the official narrative (what they call “denying science”), then you’d better be a real climate scientist with several PhDs from their approved list of universities in scientifically relevant fields.
The thing is, even if you have all those PhDs from the alarmists’ approved list of universities, they’ll claim that you’re opinion still doesn’t count, because you don’t deserve your PhDs and degrees. The fact that you hold a position of questioning the official global warming narrative shows that you’re not qualified to speak on the subject.
Scientists who don’t believe in catastrophic man-made global warming should be put in prison, a US philosophy professor argues on a website funded by the UK government.
Lawrence Torcello – assistant professor of philosophy at Rochester Institute of Technology, NY, writes in an essay at The Conversation that climate scientists who fail to communicate the correct message about “global warming” should face trial for “criminal negligence”.
No, he’s not a climate scientist. But as we established above, you don’t have be one if you hold the “correct” position.
But why is the official global warming narrative considered the “correct message?” Because 97% of global warming alarmists can’t be wrong. But why do those scientists adhere to the official, politically correct narrative in spite of counter evidence? Because it’s settled science. But how do we know that it’s “settled science?” Because 97% of global warming alarmists believe in it. And around and around we go.
Torcella certainly isn’t the first person to suggest shutting up their opposition like this. There’s a professor at the University of Graz in Austria who wrote that “deniers” should be executed. And, no, he wasn’t a climate scientist either.
He was professor of Systematic Musicology.
