“Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to death; don’t stand back and let them die. Don’t try to disclaim responsibility by saying you didn’t know about it.” – Proverbs 24: 11-12
In the 20th century–not very long ago–there was a nation whose leader decided that certain groups of people were less than human, and as such, these less thans were executed without remorse. A people were deceived, and led to believe that the extermination of an entire race of human beings was part of a greater plan, that it was justified. Though these people were deceived, they were also culpable because of their willful ignorance. In the end, it took outside forces to end the barbarism, and bring reason to the people. That nation was Germany, and those people were the Nazis, and the citizens of Germany. Of course, we, as an advanced nation, would never participate in such barbaric activities as the killing of innocents, right? Wrong. Every day, thousands of infants are exterminated while they sleep inside their mothers. Their limbs are torn apart, and their heads are crushed with dull clamps, then the pieces are pulled out one by one. Blood is suctioned out, as if it didn’t just come from the veins of a living human being. It is a mutilating, vile act that can only be compared to the actions of the Nazis in the 1940’s. Yet, where are you? What are you doing to fight? In your silence, you are empowering women to behave like Nazis. You are defending the “right” to genocide.
The willful ignorance of you, the Presbyterian Church USA, makes you culpable in the deaths of the approximately 50 million children since Roe v Wade. You are all Nazis. You know the science, you know that what is growing inside a pregnant woman is a living human, but you decide to justify the bloody act by denying that it exists. Even after birth, a child is in danger.
You, the Presbyterian Church USA, have voted against even thinking about post-birth murder. With your denial, you have said that it’s perfectly acceptable for a doctor to murder a child if that child survives a first murder attempt. Excuse me if I’m wrong, but the book you claim as your sacred scripture, as the word of God, has some things to say about murder, and those who participate in it.
Deuteronomy 27:25 – “Cursed is he who accepts a bribe to strike down an innocent person.”
Numbers 35:16 – “But if he struck him down with an iron object, so that he died, he is a murderer; the murderer shall surely be put to death. If he struck him down with a stone in the hand, by which he will die, and as a result he died, he is a murderer; the murderer shall surely be put to death.”
Now, it’s not a stone, but I’d say forceps and clamps would also qualify as instruments of murder. You claim the mantle of God, yet you practice the behavior of the devil. You look the other way when confronted with a difficult truth. Just as the German people looked the other way when the Jews were being gassed, you are, in your silence, endorsing genocide. I guess as long as you continue to get money from your parishioners, and make people feel good about themselves every Sunday, you just don’t care about dead babies. I guess it’s just too much to think about.
Genocide today, genocide tomorrow, genocide forever.
