Obama’s Open-Borders Agenda Has Dangerous Consequences

There are so many schemes in the world of politics that it’s difficult to attach policy to intention with any true certainty. We can know someone’s heart, and motives, only as far as they are willing to reveal them to us. That being said, some things are crystal clear, because the action taken can only be the result of one intention, and one mindset.

Following an audit of border-related security, the investigative branch of Congress announced on Wednesday that a whopping 39% of illegal immigrants entering the United States across the southern border are not apprehended. The audit cites that approximately 61% of potential illegal immigrants are captured every year in the pursuit of border security.

According to The Washington Times:

“The report also said that the Obama administration has gone more than two years without having an effective yardstick for measuring border security, meaning there is no good way to evaluate the job the Border Patrol is doing…President Obama has said he will write immigration legislation this year and submit it to Congress. The legislation is expected to contain a legalization program for the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S.”

There is a simple solution to border security that every politician seems to be afraid to tackle: a wall; a literal wall. To finally secure the border, we need a physical structure to prevent human beings from crossing into the country illegally.

There is so much riding on the security of the border, yet it remains a long standing issue; stagnating in the halls of Congress and the White House. Not only is it a dampener on our economy to have people living here illegally, a poorly enforced border is an open door for easy human trafficking, drug trafficking, and potential terrorist activity. These issues are some of the most important of our time, and the most overlooked. The violence of the drug cartels is incredible, and the prevalence of the sex-trade industry is unfathomable. But there is more to this than meets the eye.

President Bush was unwilling to enforce border security in any meaningful way because he wanted to be viewed as a “compassionate Conservative.” President Obama–as well as any Democrat–desperately needs the border to remain a free-flowing system. If he can grant amnesty to the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the United States, future Democrats will have a substantial majority in November of 2014 and 2016. After amnesty, comes voting rights–although in many states, illegal residents can vote anyway, because the Democrats have stonewalled voter ID laws. It’s all part of a grand plan.

So, Republicans are ineffectual, and Democrats are recalcitrant. Meanwhile, people are illegally entering our country to sell drugs, perpetrate violence, sell young girls as sex toys, and who knows what else. This effort to be “compassionate”–and in a more sinister vein, get more votes–has massive side-effects. This game must be stopped. We have simple solutions. We cannot allow the President and other politicians to drag their feet on something as important as this. We have reached a seminal moment; it’s no longer an option to be passive. Secure the border now.
