“Abortion on demand and without apology!” That’s one of several slogans being uttered by a new pro-abortion movement. According to Breitbart:
“On Monday, pro-abortion groups across the country launched an organized effort to feature women telling uplifting stories of their abortions…Tellingly, organizers suggest that their goal is to keep abortion ‘safe, legal, and affordable’ – a marked change from the old pro-choice slogan from the Clinton years, ‘safe, legal, and rare.’ The organizers also want to “end the stigma” surrounding abortion.“
Safe, legal and rare. What a crock. The abortion movement was never out to make abortions anything but legal. With the lack of press coverage of disgusting and unsanitary abortions mills, like that of Kermit Gosnell’s, safety has never truly been a priory to Liberal pro-abortionists. Groups like NARAL have no concern for the lives of women; their leaders simply want to live and encourage irresponsible lifestyles. Pro-abortion advocates see abortion restrictions as lifestyle restrictions. Without abortion at their convenience, how would women (and the men who get them pregnant) be allowed to live truly free lives, without the crushing punishment of accidental pregnancy?
Pro-abortionists also couldn’t care less about the rarity of the procedure. They lay their lives on the claim that an infant in the womb isn’t even human, so why would they have any care if abortions are kept rare? To pro-abortion advocates, an infant in the womb is a speck, even when fully developed. Because they can’t see it, they can think whatever they want of it. Rarity is of no concern for Pro-abortionists, which is seemingly why they’ve finally changed the slogan to “safe, legal, and affordable.” You know, it’s nice when killers are honest.
This furor on the part of pro-abortion activists illustrates a stunning contempt for life. They attack Conservatives for wanting to protect life. They say that we want to control women’s bodies. They claim that we hate women. What accusation is worse? The want to control someone else’s body, or the desire to wantonly murder? Of course, I’m not saying that Conservatives want to control women, but I’m merely comparing the accusations of each side of the argument to show that even when using a false comparison, Conservatives are in the right.
The entire abortion movement is nothing but a tidal wave of petulance, and ego-centrism. It is a response to poor life decisions. The Left makes it out to be about rape, incest, and life threatening pregnancies. What they don’t tell you is that those cases combined only comprise about 6% of abortions. 94% of abortions are elective, and a result of an oops moment.
I’ve written numerous times about the evils of abortion itself, but now I’d like to aim squarely at those who advocate the procedure. Such anger is displayed when Conservatives attempt to place any restrictions on abortion, such as banning them after 20 weeks of pregnancy. If it takes you five months to decide to execute your child, you are not only late to the ball, but quite sick as well. Abortion is simply a cover for a freewheeling lifestyle, a get-out-of-jail-free card. It is not about “rights,” and that must be admitted. It’s built upon irresponsibility.
To a pro-abortionist, a child’s life is based solely on the desire for it. If one wants a child, it is referred to as a baby from the moment of conception. If a mother miscarries, women mourn. But if a woman goes to a doctor to have the infant’s head clamped off, it’s celebrated. Finally, someone like Kermit Gosnell is shown to be a monster for severing the spinal cords of infants shortly after birth, but if he had done it just moments before, it would have been a triumph for women’s rights. The inconsistency is disgusting and frightening. There’s a reason for the stigma.
Safe, legal, and affordable. Abortion advocates may eventually get all three, but it will never wash the blood off their hands.
