EPA “Accidentally” Spills 3 Million Gallons of Toxic Waste into Animas River

At first, it was reported that they accidentally spilled one million gallons of toxic waste into the Animas River in Colorado. Now, it’s being reported that three times that amount was actually spilled. And the mustard-yellow pollution is flowing into New Mexico and Utah as well. Reuters reported: A team of U.S. regulators probing contamination at a Colorado gold mine accidentally released [three] million gallons of orange-hued waste water containing sediment and metals into a local river system, Read more […]

Democrat Disaster! Chicago Schools Fire 1,400 Workers to Fund Pensions!

About 1,400 Chicago public school teachers and staff are expected to lose their jobs in order to finance a pension debt of $634 million, the city announced Wednesday. The layoffs are part of an aggressive $200 million budget cut to help finance the pension payment, which is required of Chicago Public Schools by Illinois law. The rest of the pension payment is coming from heavy borrowing, as the district already has a massive $1.1 billion budget deficit. In announcing the layoffs, Mayor Read more […]

No Joke: Liberals Blame Republicans for Amtrak Crash

Liberal extraordinaire Rahm Emanuel famously said: “You never let a serious crisis go to waste.” The left really took those words to heart after the Amtrak derailment on Tuesday. The accident, which killed seven and left hundreds injured, has led to a political debate about Amtrak funding, and how the evil Republicans want to downsize. According to Reuters, the train “…was traveling at more than 100 miles per hour, over twice the speed limit, when it entered a curve in the tracks and derailed…” The Read more […]

Social Security in Bigger Trouble Than We Thought

The Social Security Administration has been releasing heavily biased and overly optimistic numbers for about fifteen years, according to a new report by Harvard and Dartmouth: According to the report, the SSA’s actuarial projections in the 1980s underestimated revenues and overestimated costs by $27 billion; in the 1990s, that figure was $200 billion. Now, in the first ten years after 2000, the forecasts overestimated revenue and underestimated costs to the total of $1 trillion. The Social Read more […]

EPA Porn Addicts Given Paid Vacation

If this were like most businesses in the private sector, these employees would have been fired a long time ago. But this problem has become so prevalent in government agencies that if they fired everyone who looked at pornography at work, there would be little or no government left. If these workers have hours a day that they can devote to viewing and downloading pornography during normal business hours, then what good are they? What are taxpayers paying them for? If we’ve made it this far without Read more […]

Bill to Ban Federal Employees from Watching Porn while Working Moves Forward

Really? Does this even need to be a thing? Seriously? A bill banning federal employees from consuming pornography while they are supposed to be working continues to move forward in Congress. But how sad of a commentary on our nation is it that we even need something like this to become a law? Most employers across the country would already consider this the kind of offense that gets an employee fired. Any employee wasting the time and money of an employer in such a disgusting fashion would be Read more […]

FEMA Refuses Relief Funding to “Climate Denier” States

FEMA recently weighed in on the climate change debate by refusing to give disaster relief funding to any state that didn’t have established protocols to address climate change: This may put several Republican governors who maintain the earth isn’t warming due to human activities, or prefer to do nothing about it, into a political bind. Their position may block their states’ access to hundreds of millions of dollars in FEMA funds. Over the past five years, the agency has awarded an average Read more […]

Read His Lips: Jeb Bush Unwilling to Rule Out New Taxes

When pressed, Jeb Bush said that he would not rule out new taxes if he were to win the presidency in 2016: Jeb Bush has enthusiastically endorsed a “grand bargain” tax increase with Democrats, says his father’s 1990 “Read My Lips” tax increase “created the spending restraint of the 90’s,” . . . and refuses to sign the Taxpayer Protection Pledge to the American people. Interesting. Perhaps Jeb Bush should actually talk to his father about the tax increase bargain he struck with Read more […]

Government Waste Warning! New Report shows Obama Administration Gave BILLIONS to Foreign Green Energy Companies!

‘Cause we have so much extra money just lying about anyway? Right?   Which company has gotten the most subsidies from the U.S. government? Would you believe it’s a Spain-based green energy company? Iberdola has gotten $2.2 billion in subsidies to operate wind turbines across the U.S. — making it the largest recipient of federal corporate welfare, according to a report by the left-wing group Good Jobs First. The company got billions in subsidies from the Obama administration’s Read more […]
