What’s this? “Another Trayvon incident”? Let’s say it together: aw, hails naw!
Al Sharpton’s flapping his lips about it, so you may have heard about it by now.
From Detroit’s CBS affiliate:
Renisha McBride, 19, of Detroit, was killed by a shotgun blast at a home in the 16000 block of Outer Drive around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
At a home, not her home. Hmm.
Family members say McBride had been seeking help at the home after her cell phone died following a car accident. They say McBride, who is African-American, was shot in the back of the head as she turned to leave, and think her death is a case of racial profiling.
What is racial profiling? Better question: What isn’t racial profiling?
Make accurate deductions about groups based on statistics and studies of DNA? Racial profiling. Ask everybody of all races to show an ID before voting? Racial profiling. Open up a bag of chips only to find that they’re all crumbled? The grocer who sold them to you was racially profiling.
David Alexander Bullock, founder of Change Agent Consortium, likened the case to that of Trayvon Martin, the Florida teenager who was killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer. “Dearborn Heights may have its own Trayvon Martin case…”
Doesn’t it sound like he’s a little excited over that prospect?
“A young African-American woman is dead and the shooter is claiming her death was justified,” Bullock said in a statement. “If this had occurred in Detroit we know what the outcome would have been—the same value placed on white lives should be placed on black lives. We all deserve justice.”
If it had happened in Detroit, the shooter probably would have been black as well, and the black community would shrug its shoulders. In this case, however, the race of the shooter was…well, hold on.
The race and identity of the 54-year-old homeowner, along with the charges against him, have not been released.
Oh, his race hasn’t been released! Well hey, everybody, let’s just assume he was a white dude and rally up the troops of racial division!
Police say the man told them he thought someone was trying to break into his home and accidentally discharged the gun.
This is probably a lie on the shooter’s part. But who can blame him? The shooter saw how George Zimmerman was treated when he stopped a thug who was in the process of murdering him; why wouldn’t you lie and claim that you accidentally shot the person on your porch? Who wants to go through what Zimmerman went through?
And then CBS managed to find a black woman named Tawana to interview to further stir up racial tensions by dredging up past racial incidents. No, not the lying scum Ms. Brawley, who put Al Sharpton on the map of I See White People fame, but a Tawana Petty, who was probably named after the aforementioned lying scum.
Enough is enough. Where is this man, who is he connected to and why don’t we know who he is? Why is he not in jail? If my son was 19 and shot somebody he would be under that jail.
This is wrong! This is wrong and everybody needs to be out here complaining about it.
Shoot a white person you think is robbing your house? Self-defense. Shoot a black person you think is robbing your house? Racial profiling!
Really, though, it is a horrible shame she was killed, but it was not a case of, “Oh, sweet, I get to shoot a black woman today!”
