“There are three things in the world that deserve no mercy: hypocrisy, fraud, and tyranny.” – Frederick William Robertson
Let’s be straightforward here. We all know that despite the existence of hypocrisy on both sides of the political spectrum, the preponderance of it rests squarely on the shoulders of the left. They warp the words, ideas, and actions of conservatives to make them look like monsters, while covering up with herculean effort their own egregious behavior. Well, there’s a fun trick one can use when one wants to pull back the curtain and reveal the left’s rotting, corpselike nature. We’ll get back to that after the jump.
ABC Studios is prepping a new comedy based on the life of notorious liberal hate-monger Dan Savage. Media Research Center’s Brent Bozell and Family Research Counsel’s Tony Perkins have written a letter to ABC exec Ben Sherwood, which reads in part:
“We can only assume you are unaware of Dan Savage’s history of over-the-top obscenity, his radical hate speech, and his venomous anti-Christian bigotry…”
Bozell also offered a statement, saying:
“By creating a pilot based on the life of this hate-monger and bringing him on as a producer, Disney ABC is sending a signal that they endorse Dan Savage’s wish that a man be murdered. He has stated, [one-time Senate candidate] ‘Carl Romanelli should be dragged behind a pickup truck until there’s nothing left but the rope.’ ABC knows this. We told them explicitly.”
Sound bad? For the uninitiated, Savage is just what his name implies. He is a monster of the most repulsive kind. Speaking of Republicans on an episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, Savage said “I want them all f***ing dead.” Savage later apologized on his blog, saying in part: “It was a stupid, rude, thoughtless remark.”
However, Savage has a history of these rude, thoughtless remarks. One wonders how thoughtless they are when they’ve been made dozens and dozens of times. One wonders how thoughtless it was to spearhead a contest to get Rick Santorum’s last name redefined as a sex act. Google “Santorum” it if you want to know for yourself. It shows up first.
So, this man who has called for the violent death of Carl Romanelli and spewed vile remarks about conservatives and Christians gets a TV show about his life? Remember that trick I talked about earlier? Here it is. Simply reverse the players on the board and see if the situation in question would fly.
If a Christian conservative said “I want them all f***ing dead” on TV regarding Democrats, said he wished for the gruesome death of a Senate candidate, and had regular outbursts of vile behavior, would he be getting his own TV show?
First, this man wouldn’t be a very good Christian conservative. Second, the media would annihilate any TV executives who endorsed, or participated in the green-lighting of the show. There would be calls for resignations, firings, and broadcast apologies. Boycotts would be organized and the entire leftist establishment would burn the forest to the ground. The network wouldn’t know what hit them.
Dan Savage is a worthless human being. Any good he has brought to the world is greatly outweighed by the sickness he has brought with him. He’s a cancer. But hey, he’s getting a TV show about his life because Hollywood and the media are full of leftist shills.
Hypocrisy check complete.
Result: absolute, sickening hypocrisy.
This is the world we live in, kids. We play in the sandbox with monsters.
