“We make war that we may live in peace.” – Aristotle
If a Democrat tells you one thing, you can bet the house that the opposite is the truth. Their philosophy is so twisted, so bent toward the consolidation of power, that reality has become a distant fantasy. In their quest for self-preservation, they expose gaping holes in their belief system which reveals their willful hypocrisy. They claim to be anti-war, yet remain silent on Obama’s multiple Middle East skirmishes. They hate the death penalty, yet advocate for the destruction of children in the womb. They want equal rights for gays and lesbians, but maliciously target the rights of faith-based communities.
The left is one big bundle of contradictions because their philosophy is not a philosophy, but a means to achieve power; It’s a road map. For example, Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett recently condemned Israel, calling them out over the child casualties in their war with Hamas.
“This is why the cease-fire is so important…It’s a devastating situation. Israel absolutely has the right to defend itself, and we are Israel’s staunchest ally. But you also can’t condone the killing of all of these innocent children.”
The way Jarrett talks about Israel is striking. She speaks as if it were Israel that ended the cease-fire, not Hamas. Of course, before she trashes Israel, she first must make the obligatory “we love Israel” comment, to assuage any suspicion that she, and her fellow liberal cronies actually hate Israel. Then, after she gets that out of the way (it probably made her gag), she can move right on to the liberal red meat: condemning Israel.
We cannot condone the killing of innocent children, she says. Hmm, that’s odd. I thought it was your man, Barack, who three times voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, which would have given basic human rights to infants born alive following a botched abortion. So Val, if you’re so repelled by the notion of child casualties, you might want to talk to your man, Barack. You might also want to take a gander at the dictionary, under the word “child.”
Furthermore, Val, where is the condemnation of Hamas—you know, the people who are using the children as human shields? It is impossible to avoid child casualties because Hamas is throwing children in the line of fire. The more dead children, the more Hamas can blame Israel. You cannot claim that Israel has the right to self-defense, and then in the same breath, condemn them for defending themselves. The game is fixed. Israel cannot win. They either defend themselves, or they do not. If they don’t, they will be obliterated, if they do, there will be child casualties.
The cease-fire was broken by Hamas, the child casualties are essentially sacrifices on the part of Hamas, and Israel, the target, is being blamed? In their ever-quest for power, the left has cornered the market on political hypocrisy. Life is only valuable if it can help push forward the liberal agenda.
