Bottom line: Star Wars: The Force Awakens does an admirable job of resetting the franchise, while suffering at times from its unswerving devotion to the original formula. Star Wars:  The Force Awakens is premiering in the U.S. on the 18th. Naturally, there are a lot of fans who are excited about the film. Kids are coming to school wearing Star Wars t-shirts.
