Former Hewlett-Packer CEO Carly Fiorina made an appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America to officially kick off her run for the White House as a candidate for President from the GOP.
I think I’m the best person for the job because I understand how the economy actually works. I understand the world, who’s in it, how the world works. I understand bureaucracies, and that’s what our federal government has become, a giant bloated unaccountable corrupt bureaucracy.
I understand technology which is a tool both to re-image government and to re-engage citizens in the process of government. And I understand executive decision-making, which is making a tough call in a tough time with high stakes for which you’re prepared to be held accountable. I don’t think you read about that. You learn it by doing it.
She’s also already laying the groundwork for her battle against Hillary Clinton by leveling some solid attacks at her would-be Democrat opponent in her first campaign ad.
“Our founders never intended for us to have a professional political class,” Carly Fiorina says as she turns away from an image of Hilary Clinton. “We know the only way to reimagine our government is to reimagine who is leading it… If you’re tired of the sound bites, the vitriol, the pettiness, the egos, the corruption. If you believe it is time to declare the end of identity politics… the end of lowered expectations… then join us.”
