Pro-Abort Wendy Davis: “I’ll Always Make Investing In Our Texas Children My First Priority”

If you recall, Wendy Davis is the state senator from Texas who got famous for filibustering a bill that would have outlawed murdering unborn babies after 20 weeks of gestation. Overnight, she (and her cool pink shoes) became the poster child for “women’s rights.” That is, the right of every mother to murder her unborn child when it poses an inconvenience to the mother. Her shoes and catheter brought her such fame, that she decided to make a run for governor.

She made headlines recently when she stated that she is in fact “pro-life”:

“I am pro-life,” she said, borrowing from the label anti-abortion activists assign themselves. “I care about the life of every child: every child that goes to bed hungry, every child that goes to bed without a proper education, every child that goes to bed without being able to be a part of the Texas dream, every woman and man who worry about their children’s future and their ability to provide for that future. I care about life and I have a record of fighting for people above all else.”

Every child, except the ones still in a woman’s womb. Those aren’t people. It’s not like they have feelings. They’re just masses of tissue. But aren’t we all?

She’s at it again with another dark and ironic message, this time conveyed via Twitter. She tweeted:

“As governor, I’ll always make investing in our Texas children my first priority. #TeamWendy.”

She must have a really sick sense of humor. Or she’s completely self-deluded. Or both.

How can someone so ardently defend the murder of unborn babies, but then claim she’s also “investing” in children?

Investing in children would mean that from their earliest days, they’d be protected from harm. Women often change their lifestyles altogether when they find out they’re pregnant in order to make sure their new baby is safe and healthy. That’s investing in children from their earliest days. It goes without saying that murdering them would be the opposite of investing. I think what she meant to say was, “As governor, I’ll always make divesting our Texas children of life and liberty my first priority. #TeamWendy.”
