Obama On Roe v. Wade Anniversary: “Everyone Deserves The Same Freedom And Opportunities To Fulfill Their Dreams”

As we all know, liberals nationwide recently celebrated one of their holy days, the 41st anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision. The President issued his own statement:

Today, as we reflect on the 41st anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade, we recommit ourselves to the decision’s guiding principle: that every woman should be able to make her own choices about her body and her health. We reaffirm our steadfast commitment to protecting a woman’s access to safe, affordable health care and her constitutional right to privacy, including the right to reproductive freedom. And we resolve to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies, support maternal and child health, and continue to build safe and healthy communities for all our children. Because this is a country where everyone deserves the same freedom and opportunities to fulfill their dreams.

Of course, not once did he mention “abortion” by name. He doesn’t dare bring attention to it. He has to call it “reproductive freedom,” “safe, affordable healthcare,” and “making one’s own decisions about one’s own body.” They also call euthanasia “death with dignity.” They’re nothing but sugarcoated terms for murder.

Oh, but abortion isn’t murder, they say, because abortion’s legal. Murder is illegal. Therefore, since the Supreme Court opined over 40 years ago in one particular case that abortion is a woman’s right and should not be considered murder, that settles it. Supreme Court judges always make sound judgments. This is the liberals’ mantra:  “The Supreme Court said it; I believe it; that settles it.” Unless it’s a court decision that they don’t like.

And that last bit about how “everyone deserves the same freedom and opportunities to fulfill their dreams.” Yeah, except for the 55 million babies who were murdered, er, excuse me, who were subjected to their mothers’ “reproductive freedom.”
