#Mizzou and BLM Activists Complain Media Attention Paid to Paris Attack is Racist

Some #Mizzou protesters and #BlackLivesMatter activists got butt hurt Friday when the mass-casualty attack in Paris at the hands of Islamic State militants took the spotlight off their student protests. The tweets came fast and furious, with many expressing outrage that 129 dead Parisians were stealing focus from their PC activism:

If this wasn’t bad enough, the hashtag #F*ckParis began trending on Twitter soon after. Yes, some BLM activists are so upset that they’ve resorted to saying “f*ck you” to the dead and injured in Paris.

Oh, the reasons given for the vile hashtag? Americans–as well as the American media–only care about what happened in Paris because it’s a “white crime.” Some users pointed out an alleged lack of coverage of the bombing in Lebanon that happened just the day before as proof. If this wasn’t bad enough, the hashtag #F*ckParis began trending on Twitter soon after. What these vulgar hate-mongers fail to see is that the reason there’s so much media attention paid to Paris as opposed to Lebanon is because Paris is an outlier. The Middle East is overwhelmed by terrorist attacks on a near-daily basis. ISIS is made up of Sunni Muslims, who believe Shia Muslims to be apostates. As such, the Islamic State killing other Muslims–as they did in Lebanon, targeting Shia, and Hezbollah–is not at all uncommon.

The attack in Paris represents the first time the Islamic State has hit a western target on a large scale. It shows a frighteningly sophisticated and meticulous organization. This portends a dangerous future for the rest of Europe and the western world at large. In that idea lies the extraordinary significance of the attack, and the massive media coverage. The radical idiots who say that the focus on Paris and not Lebanon is indicative of racism are grasping at straws.

To the mouth-breathers who say that American attention and media coverage of the Paris massacre, and converse lack of coverage of the #Mizzou and Yale protests, is due to racism, let’s be clear. No one has died at #Mizzou or Yale! 129 people were murdered in France, and hundreds were injured in a large-scale terror attack by a militant Islamic group hellbent on destroying all of western culture.

Additionally, according to The New York Times, the number of black people in France is estimated to be between three and five million, and The Economist puts estimates of the North African, or Maghreb, population at around 5.5 million. They’re not all white. Oh yeah, and Google the Lebanese attack, and you’ll find pieces like this.

You are in no position to complain, you privileged, race-baiting jackasses.
