Media Admits Lying about ISIS & Islam

Vox’s Max Fisher Just Admitted the Media has Deliberately Helped Obama Lie about ISIS.

A key purpose of journalism is to provide an adversarial check on those who wield the greatest power by shining a light on what they do in the dark, and informing the public about those acts.” – Glenn Greenwald

In addition to shining a light on what is done in the dark, a key purpose of a free, and independent press is to act as a fourth wall of sorts, protecting the American people should the first three walls of government become corrupted. The first three walls, as we know, are the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches.

This triad is supposed to serve as a balance, each level acting as a barrier, protecting the American people from any potentially dangerous actions taken by the others. But if this triad falls fully to corruption, the press is supposed to be the last bastion of hope, the independent warrior fighting for we the people. This warrior is supposed to be on our side, telling us the truth, regardless of how much it hurts. It is honest, truthful, brave, and unfettered. But what happens when that warrior falls to corruption as well? What happens when our warrior buries the truth?

For quite some time, the mainstream press has been in collusion with the Democrats in the government, protecting them, and justifying their behaviors, but one journalist just came forward, and said “enough.” Well, as much as a subservient media can say “enough.”

In a piece published February 19th, Vox’s Max Fisher wrote the following:

“To be fair to the Obama administration, the idea that ISIS and al-Qaeda are totally divorced from ‘real’ Islam is one that the media — including me — have furthered as well. Motivated by a well-intentioned desire to curb Islamophobia, perhaps as well as a desire to undermine these groups’ ideology, this media narrative is nonetheless analytically incomplete. Worse, it is condescending, by suggesting that readers cannot be trusted with the truth.”

Translation: “Obama has not been alone in his ludicrous denial that ISIS is Islamic. We, the media, have helped the President of the United States cover up this obvious fact for his political or personal gain. This lie could very well place lives in danger, and we are complicit. We’re sorry we didn’t trust you. But we assure you it was for a good cause. We only wanted to help.”

This is how republics fall. After the branches of government harden, and tighten their grip around the necks of the increasingly burdened people, the free press should be the last hope. But once the watchtower has colluded with those whom they are supposed to be watching, the fall has begun in earnest–and it always begins with “good cause.”

As George Orwell wrote: “So much of left-wing thought is a kind of playing with fire by people who don’t even know that fire is hot.” The mainstream media believes in the policy of the Democratic Party. I don’t know how that came to be, but it is fact. As such, it acts as an extension of the Democratic Party. Given this, they have become blinded to the truth. They will do anything to protect what they believe is right, even if it violates the tenants of journalism. In doing so, in protecting the empire, they are playing with a white-hot fire which they themselves cannot feel.

Protecting what they believe in, these so-called journalists will burn our republic to the ground. That is, unless more step forward and tell the truth. What Max Fisher reluctantly admitted should start a journalist revolution. I am by no means praising Fisher, but he did something the rest of the mainstream press has yet to do–and for that, I’m grateful.

Obama is lying to us. Not just about the relation of ISIS to Islam, but about the falling unemployment, the costs of the Affordable Care Act, and numerous other things. The press, not out of malice necessarily, but out of a love of their liberal ideology, are helping him sweep his lies under the rug. This must not continue to happen.

They say that the path to hell is paved with good intentions. The “good” intentions of liberal journalists are paving the path to our destruction. Max Fisher–of all people–has begun to peel back the pristine wallpaper of the leftist house, revealing its rot underneath. This process needs to continue, or we won’t have much time left.
