Joe Scarborough: The Only Reason Someone Would Want More than 10 Rounds in a Clip is to “Kill U.S. Soldiers”

We’ve heard New York Governor Andrew Cuomo voice a similar opinion when he said that no one needed 10 bullets to kill a deer, as if that’s what the 2nd Amendment is all about.

In New Jersey, they allow no more than 15 rounds in gun magazines. But now, the gun control lobby there is yammering for a 10-round limit, something that Governor Chris Christie isn’t yet willing to sign off on. Here’s MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough ranting about Chris Christie’s opposition to limiting gun magazines to a 10-round capacity:

He said:

“I’m sorry, what deer hunter needs more than ten bullets in a clip? If you need more than ten in a clip, you need more than ten in a clip for one reason: you think the federal government’s coming to take your crops, y’know, to take your cows, or whatever and you want more than ten because you want to kill U.S. soldiers who come to your door. Why don’t we just say you’re a survivalist and that’s just stupid BS.”

Yes, he’s mixed up between clips and magazines, because he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, something that is typical of gun-grabbers.

Once they’ve got a 10-round cap on gun magazines, they’ll be saying the same thing as they are now, except with a smaller number:  “What deer hunter needs more than five bullets in a ‘clip?’”

Then, “If you need more than three in a ‘clip,’ you need more than three for a reason:  you think the federal government’s coming…”

After they’ve successfully limited gun magazine capacities at a 3-round max, they’ll be asking, “Who needs a gun to kill a deer?” and “If you need a gun, there’s only one reason for that:  you’re a racist, paranoid, homophobic conspiracy theorist, survivalist, sovereign citizen, white supremacist, tinfoil hat-wearer, anti-government, domestic terrorist who wants to destroy the government.”
