House Democrats Raise Hands in Solidarity with Criminal Michael Brown

You never let a serious crisis go to waste…it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.” – Rahm Emanuel

“Why let a crisis go to waste?” is very much the motto of the Democratic Party. If ever there’s an opportunity to exploit a tragedy for political gain, the Democrats are on top of it. They use tragedy as a spark to ignite, and advance their political, and social agenda, which is driven by greed, and power lust. Issues that should otherwise resolve themselves are often whipped up in into a frothy media frenzy at the behest of the Democratic elites so that they may continue to maintain control. The Michael Brown shooting is just such a case.

For several months now, the left has used the death of Brown to ratchet up racial tensions; the liberal media has endlessly, and breathlessly speculated that Darren Wilson was a racist, who shot Brown in cold blood. Since the grand jury announced their decision not to indict officer Darren Wilson in the death of Michael Brown, the left has refused to let this crisis go to waste. They have continued to speculate, and stoke the flames of racial animosity because they need it in order to survive as a viable ideology.

The Democratic Party retains power through fear. Afraid the earth is warming? Vote for us, and we’ll save the world. Republicans are trying to control women’s bodies! Vote for us, and we’ll protect you. Republicans are evil racists who want to put y’all back in chains (as Veep Joe Biden so eloquently put it)! Vote for us, and we’ll keep them at bay! Their philosophy is based entirely on fear, because as long as they can keep the electorate terrified, they can control them like puppets.

As I mentioned above, the grand jury chose not to indict Darren Wilson because there was not sufficient evidence to indicate that he did anything wrong. This idea is backed up by eye witness testimony, and forensic evidence. But lo and behold, that is not stopping idiots from showing their support for Brown as a mythical martyr. According to Lucy McCalmont of Politico:

Several lawmakers took to the House floor Monday evening to make the ‘Hands up, don’t shoot,’ gesture to protest the police shooting of the unarmed Ferguson teen, Michael Brown.”

These four lawmakers were Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), Yvette Clark (D-NY), and Al Green (D-Texas). Jeffries said the following on the House floor:

Hands up, don’t shoot. It’s a rallying cry of people all across America who are fed up with police violence.”

Green joined his colleague, saying:

This has become the new symbol, a new statement, a statement wherein people around the country now, are calling to the attention of those who don’t quite understand that this is a movement that will not dissipate, it will not evaporate. It is a movement that is going to continue.”

All four Democrats stood on the house floor with their hands in the air in a triumphant show of solidarity with an 18 year-old man who strong-arm robbed a convenience store, then attacked a police officer before being shot to death without his hands in the air. It was a beautiful display of stupidity.

But this is what is needed for the Democrats to retain control of the black community. They need to keep black voters under the delusion that they should always be afraid, and distrustful of authority–specifically white authority. That way, the Democrats can swoop in, and save them from the evil, white, capitalist oppressors. But here’s the rub: as we now know, based on forensic evidence, Brown’s hands were not in the air when he was shot. He was not surrendering, and in fact, was likely charging toward Officer Wilson. So this display is not only idiotic, but it’s based on a lie. No matter. As the saying goes, a lie told often enough will eventually be understood as the truth.

Regardless of the truth, “Hands up, don’t shoot” is being forcefully inserted into the American conversation. And as long as the Democrats want to keep their constituents in fear, they will continue to exploit incidents like the Ferguson shooting.

Now, because lawmakers, and athletes did it, the American people can gather together in stupidity, chanting “Hands up, don’t shoot!” as they stand in solidarity with an aggressive, convenience store robbing, police officer attacking “gentle giant.”
