Following 7th Undercover Planned Parenthood Video, Dems Launch Investigation

In the latest undercover video released by the Center for Medical Progress, a biotech company official is heard talking about removing a brain from a baby whose heart was still beating:

The new video includes [StemExpress “procurement technician” Holly] O’Donnell’s eyewitness narrative of the daily practice of fetal body parts harvesting in Planned Parenthood abortion clinics. She tells the harrowing story of harvesting an intact brain from a late-term male unborn baby whose heart was still beating after the abortion.

[…]

“‘I want to see something kind of cool,’” O’Donnell says her supervisor asked her. “And she just taps the heart, and it starts beating. And I’m sitting here and I’m looking at this fetus, and its heart is beating, and I don’t know what to think.”

As a result, Democrats are launching an investigation. But not into Planned Parenthood. They’re the paragon of morality and law, and all they care about is “women’s health.” They want to investigate CMP for being sneaky and for daring to expose a scandal “that doesn’t exist,” according to Pelosi. The Washington Times reported:

Congressional Democrats have opened their own investigation into the Planned Parenthood videos — but into the group that took the footage in which officials haggle over the prices of organs and discuss keeping a baby alive so his brain can be harvested.

The Center for Medical Progress may have broken federal laws in setting up a false-front company to secretly record Planned Parenthood employees talking about these and other practices, the Democrats say.

Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, also said it’s possible some of his colleagues in Congress knew about CMP’s activities and didn’t flag them for potential illegal behavior.

“These disturbing actions raise questions about whether the Center for Medical Progress has broken federal or state laws, and whether some members of Congress may have been aware of these potentially illegal activities before they were made public earlier this year,” the Maryland congressman wrote in a Thursday letter to David Daleiden, chief executive of CMP.

I can’t believe that Cummings is talking about “disturbing actions” that “raise questions” about the legality of what CMP did in its undercover stings. How about what their undercover videos exposed?

Is it really that “disturbing” to think that a company set up a front group to infiltrate Planned Parenthood clinics? But cutting through a late-term baby boy’s face to “harvest” his intact brain while playing with his still-beating heart is not disturbing at all, is it? That doesn’t “raise questions” about legality issues, does it? Of course not. That’s perfectly normal behavior. Killing (or mostly killing) babies and selling off their body parts is “women’s health.” And it’s “for the children.”
