Don’t Forget: the Obama is a Muslim Rumors started with Hillary Clinton!

In the Aftermath of Donald Trump’s little faux pas, allowing a supporter to question President Obama’s religion and his nationality, Hillary Clinton was quick to criticize Trump for the insinuation. The only problem was that everyone (and I mean everyone) was quick to point out that she was being a HUGE hypocrite.

Why?

Because way back in 2007/2008 it was Hillary Clinton who started the “Obama is a Muslim” rumors!

“It was raised this weekend, I guess we have to get our digs in on Hillary Clinton here, because I thought we were going to get through a segment without talking about her, Scarborough said Monday. “But for Hillary Clinton to come out and criticize anybody for spreading the rumors about Barack Obama [being a Muslim], when it all started with her and her campaign passings things around in the Democratic primary is rich.”

“The Republicans are wrong for doing what they’re doing,” Scarborough said. “This started with Hillary Clinton and it was spread by the Clinton team back in 2008. That is the truth.”

JAKE TAPPER, CNN: Donald Trump reminds us that some of these “Obama-is-a-Muslim” rumors were started by people who were supporting or working for Hillary Clinton in 2008.

DANA BASH, CNN: That’s right. The Clinton campaign back then always adamantly denied that was true. But there were stories citing Clinton researchers or associates back then saying President Obama or then Barack Obama was a Muslim, even that he went to a Muslim school when he was a kid living in Indonesia.

In fact, I remember when CNN’s John Voss went to Jakarta and it turned out the school never had any religious curriculum. Even Hillary Clinton herself sewed some doubt in 2008 saying she didn’t think Obama was a muslim then, but she added “not that I know of.” And being a Muslim and not believing one should be in the White House are very different. And that is today’s controversy on the trail. Even in a campaign full of explosive comments, this one immediately stood out.
