The future of the albatross Obamacare hangs in the balance once again. This job-killing, government-botched, IRS-mandated monstrosity is being tested in the Supreme Court.
I never tire of seeing pictures of tiny Ruth Bader Ginsburg propped up in her chair. But, I am getting tired of the disaster of Obamacare and the havoc it is wreaking in the American people.
Here is the issue – subsidies for people who qualify can only be paid to people in states which set up an Obamacare marketplace exchange. The law is clearly written, even Jonathan Gruber quipped about it in his snarktastic way.
If an individual qualifies for an Obamacare subsidy and his or her state didn’t set up an exchange, he or she can’t get the subsidy, even if he or she qualifies. That means that millions of people who qualify for subsidies won’t be able to get them. They won’t be able to pay for their insurance and we will be in an even bigger mess than we were before.
Well, we are already in a bigger mess than we were before. But, still.
If the Supreme Court rules to uphold the Obamacare law, the way that it was written (yes, that would be a first) the whole thing could fall apart.
I am in the edge of my seat, just like little Ruth.
