Historically, there was far more racism in the Democrat Party than the Republican Party, whose founding led to the abolition of slavery. Woodrow Wilson was a flaming bigot, Margaret Sanger and the left of her day strongly supported the elimination of “undesirables” through birth control. This continutes today in the preponderance of black babies aborted by PP. A higher percentage of Republicans (82%) supported the passage civil rights laws than Democratts (69%), and those who opposed it, like Barry Goldwater, did so not out of racism but because of what he perceived to be government overreach. This was in sharp contrast to the Dixiecrats who oppoosed it because they really were racists. Progressives in the field of education, influenced by scientifically flawed intelligence testing during WWI, supported the classification of students into highly questionable (and now refuted) categories that foreclosed their future educational prospects. Millions of blacks were classified as uneducable under these practices which educational traditionalists (conservatives) opposed. Read Diane Ravitch’s “Left Back” for all the dirty details of the harm that “progressive” educators did over the course of the 20th century. Finally, the libelous charges against Romney bear no connection to his personal views, but rather the insidious attempt to conflate his views with some of those in his faith.
And, yes, polling data clearly show that liberals are more likely to believe in astrology than conservatives.
