The Big Short Stands Tall on Explanations, but Gives No Solution

Recognizing that it’s only January, I can already say with some degree of confidence that The Big Short is the best movie that’s going to be released this year. As a movie, it succeeds on every level. The acting, directing, editing, cinematography, music, pacing, and script are all superb. The movie has an eclectic range of emotional and genre modes as well. Sometimes hilarious, other times tear-jerking, always compelling. But it’s the content and delivery of The Big Short that surprised Read more […]

Spike Lee on why Americans Don’t Care About Chicago Violence: “It’s not Sandy Hook”

Spike Lee’s recent movie Chi-Raq is a social commentary and satire about Chicago’s prevailing problem of black-on-black gang violence. The title Chi-Raq is a portmanteau of Chicago and Iraq, comparing the South side of Chicago to a war zone. Lee noted that even on the first day of pre-production in Chicago, he had to attend a funeral, because one of his own film associates was shot and killed there. He said that from June 1st to July 9th (the time span of their pre-production), there were Read more […]

Bette Midler Blames East Coast Warm Weather on “Ignorant Selfish Climate Deniers”

I’ve mentioned this many times in articles past. Liberals laugh and ridicule conservatives for bringing up unusually cold local weather as counterevidence to manmade global warming. But liberals feel that it’s fair to bring up unusually warm local weather as evidence of manmade global warming. Of course, they also use unusually cold local weather as evidence as well. Singer, actress and prominent climatologist Bette Midler tweeted out this condemnation: “Dec. 22, 2015, 63 degrees in NYC. Read more […]

Video Gamer Sues Software Company for Making Game “Too Addictive”

A Russian video gamer is suing Bethesda Softworks for making Fallout 4 too addictive: Apparently, after seeing an advertisement for the game, the man decided to download it and spend a few hours playing over the next few days. Those days quickly turned into weeks, and after missing several days of work, he was fired from his job. His friends stopped hearing from him, his sleeping and eating habits deteriorated and his wife left him. “If I knew that this game could have become so addictive, Read more […]

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Review (with SPOILERS)

Bottom line: Star Wars: The Force Awakens does an admirable job of resetting the franchise, while suffering at times from its unswerving devotion to the original formula. Honestly, given all the hype leading up to this movie, I wasn’t sure it could deliver. It did. It sounds like Star Wars. It looks like Star Wars. It feels like Star Wars. Aside from a few more noticeable CGI elements, the movie is a 2-hour cornucopia of practical effects, puppetry, large-scale sets, exotic locales, and ingenious Read more […]

Guess Why School Officials Made This Student Cover up his Star Wars Shirt

Star Wars:  The Force Awakens is premiering in the U.S. on the 18th. Naturally, there are a lot of fans who are excited about the film. Kids are coming to school wearing Star Wars t-shirts. Seventh grader Colton Southern was one of those students. He came to school wearing a shirt featuring a storm trooper. So, what could be wrong with that? Well, it was what the storm trooper was carrying that was the issue. He was pictured holding a rifle-like weapon. (Gasp!) When school officials spotted Read more […]

Melissa Harris-Perry Offended by “Totally Black” Darth Vader who Becomes White When he Leaves the Dark Side

I have to say, I’ve never thought about Star Wars this way before. I always enjoyed the original three as a kid. They were such great films and still are. Where would we be today without people like Melissa Harris-Perry there to dissect all aspects of society, decode every narrative, revealing the true racist and sexist intent behind every piece of communication? I never knew the Star Wars narrative was inherently racist. What makes it racist? Well, according to racism scout Melissa Harris-Perry, Read more […]

The Soft-Brainwashing of GLAAD and the Gay Mafia

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, known as GLAAD, released their annual “Where are We on TV” survey, in which they analyze the percentages of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people on TV. For the first time, this year, GLAAD included the likes of Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix in their analysis (because network TV is on its death bed anyway), and shocker, the LGBT community is over-represented on TV. Here’s some of their pertinent data: Out of 881 regular characters on broadcast Read more […]

How Modern Feminism Has Become One Giant Skank-Off With Men

“Men, their rights, and nothing more; women, their rights, and nothing less.” – Susan B. Anthony The VMAs were held a couple weeks ago, and watching the endless display of overly-sexualized women got me thinking about what real feminism is versus what it’s been contorted into. Feminism, the kind advocated by Susan B. Anthony, was purposeful and legitimate. Susan B. Anthony not only sought for the abolition of slavery from the time she was a teenager, she worked tirelessly for the rights of women. Read more […]

Why Another Fake Conservative Has Been Added to ‘The View’

Presenting a fake conservative to viewers allows liberalism to pretend to be the stronger and more stable alternative. “The masses never revolt of their own accord, and they never revolt merely because they are oppressed. Indeed, so long as they are not permitted to have standards of comparison, they never even become aware that they are oppressed.” – George Orwell Our world is consumed by media. Social media and traditional media dictate our thought processes because we are sunk into them from Read more […]

MTV’s New Series Educates White People On All the Wrong They’ve Done

MTV has a new series, the blandly named “White People,” which is apparently designed to record very uncomfortable and frank discussions with white people about race. It is hosted by Jose Antonia Vargas, an illegal immigrant Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist from the Philippines. Here’s the trailer: It’s hard to say exactly what this show is intended to accomplish. It purportedly focuses on the challenges of defining the white identity, and what it means to be a young white person in Read more […]

Video: Black Conservative Woman Tackles Takei’s Racism

Liberals love to talk about slavery as long as it casts them in a positive light and conservatives in a negative, racist light. What they don’t care to admit is that they are actually very much in favor of it. They just want to make sure they’re the masters. When they see a black person or other minority start to think for themselves, the usual insults emanate. They’re mocked and ridiculed, accused of “acting white,” called “Uncle Toms,” and all the rest. They get outraged, because Read more […]
