A number of our authors on our various sites have compared President Barack Obama to other anti-gun dictators such as Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. Both of these notorious tyrants used strict gun control laws to disarm the people in their countries to help subdue and control them.
I made one of those comparisons only two months ago when I compared what happened in Germany between 1919 and 1938 to what is happening to gun control measures being used in Connecticut. Tad Cronn shared about Googles report on how many searches there are for ‘Hitler gun control’ in an article about Obama and gun control.
Now, Tim Donnelly, a California State Assemblyman is also comparing Obama’s gun control actions to Hitler, Stalin and others. Donnelly is running as a Republican candidate for governor. One Tuesday, he tweeted a message about gun control in which he had a graphic that put Obama in the same group as King George III, Mao Zedong, Kim Jong Il, Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler. This was his list of world leaders that stood for gun control.
The graphic also showed a list of world leaders that stood for the gun rights of the people. That list pictured George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr.
In his tweet, Donnelly asked:
“Which side would you choose?”
When asked about his tweet by the Associated Press, Donnelly responded that he was standing up for the Second Amendment and he says it is an unalienable right to defend one’s life. Donnelly also released a written statement saying:
“When government becomes the greatest threat to the very rights it was formed to protect, that is tyranny. Tyranny is the daily purpose of dictators, and I will not apologize for pointing out that our current president acts more like a dictator than a leader of a free people in a Constitutional Republic.”
Making gun rights a main part of his campaign is definitely irking the liberals in California. Tenoch Flores, a spokesman for the Democratic Party in California commented:
“It’s despicable and more than anything shows the degree to which this Republican gubernatorial candidate lives in an alternate universe populated by right-wing tea party delusions.”
So according to Flores’ statement, anyone defending the US Constitution and Bill of Rights is despicable and lives in an alternate universe that is delusional. This clearly demonstrates just how little regard Democrats have for our founding document and everything this country has stood for over 200 years. I also find it ironic that virtually every politician is sworn to uphold the Constitution and the laws of the land, but clearly they don’t believe any of it and have no intention of living up the oath they swear to. If they can’t be trusted to keep their word here, then why would anyone trust them to keep their word in anything else, especially when it comes to their constituents?
I really hope Donnelly gets elected governor of California, but knowing just how liberal and left wing many in the state are, I find it highly unlikely that Californians will elect anyone who stands for the Constitution.
