Bill Nye The “Science” Guy Doesn’t Know North From South

Hey, in liberals’ minds, up is down, and down is up. Everything’s backwards.

This is very important, because when Bill Nye sends his Christmas wish list to Santa Claus, he very well could send his letter to the wrong pole. Yes, believing in Santa is rather childish, but we are talking about a children’s entertainer here. He also believes in manmade global warming.

In a canned “debate” with Congress(wo)man Marsha Blackburn on David Gregory’s Meet the Press, Bill Nye held up a picture of the Arctic and asked, “Would you say the Antarctic has less ice than it used to?”

So, what’s he asking? Does he want to know about the Arctic sea ice or the Antarctic sea ice? Maybe he meant to say Arctic. Who knows.

Assuming he meant to say Antarctic, the answer to his question is “no.” The Antarctic doesn’t have less ice than it used to. In fact, quite the contrary. Here’s Sunshine Hours:

Antarctic Sea Ice Extent is really on track to have the highest minimum in the modern satellite era. Antarctic Sea Ice Extent as of Feb 7, 2014 was 904,000 sq km above the 1981-2010 mean and 220,000 sq km above 2008. 904,000 sq km is 27.4% above normal. Day 37 was the 20th daily record of the year. antarctic_sea_ice_extent_zoomed_2014_day_37_1981-2010

I’m sure they already have an explanation lined up for that one too, showing that the increase in Antarctic sea ice is also actually due to global warming. Perhaps it was getting so hot that the Earth’s built-in defense mechanism caused the poles to overcompensate in response and create more ice.
