Irreligious Extremism: Atheist UNC Shooter Murders Three Muslims

It’s not something you are going to hear much about, but Craig Hicks, the guy who allegedly just shot three Muslims in North Carolina, may have had religious motives in the killing. Was he a right-wing religious fanatic? No, of course not. If he were, you can be sure we’d all be hearing about it ad nauseam. No. He’s an atheist:

Hicks, the alleged shooter, frequently shared links about atheism on what appears to be his Facebook page. One such post reads: “People say nothing can solve the Middle East problem, not mediation, not arms, not financial aid. I say there is something. Atheism.”

Interesting. Atheism would solve the Middle East problem? Atheism has sure done wonders in those places where it has gained official status. Think of how wonderful the former Soviet Union was. And China and North Korea? Paragons of human rights, tolerance, freedom, and peace, right?

People talk about tolerance like tolerance has never killed anyone. The kind of tolerance that the Co-Exist people love peddling has killed millions, more than any religious war ever has. Well, actually, wars to promote open-minded, anti-religious “tolerance” actually are rather religious, aren’t they?

See, the Co-Exist “tolerant” like to pretend they are all about live and let live. But they’re not. For one, if they were so tolerant, they would just “co-exist” themselves, rather than driving around telling everyone else what to do. “Co-exist” is, after all, an imperative. It’s trying to coerce co-existence. So it attempts to silence the presumably intolerant—all those close-minded religious fanatics. And nothing is more silent than the grave, or more efficient than murder. The hypocrisy is not apparent to the tolerant, apparently.

Now, I am not defending Muslim violence. I am not defending any violence. I am pointing out what should have become obvious to anyone in the universe by now. A Christian system is the most tolerant, most peace-inducing system there is.

Think about it. The atheist has a voice here in the US. So does the Muslim. The three Muslims who were shot were here getting university educations. Why didn’t they do that in a Muslim country? There aren’t the same opportunities there. Or the same freedoms. In the case of these murdered Muslims and the atheist who allegedly killed them, the Christian vestiges left in the US offered them more than they could hope to receive in any other country in the world. But who are the only people in the once Christian United States whose voice is being suppressed? Christians. Go figure.
