Al Qaeda’s Resurgence Shows Obama’s Ineptness As President

President Barack Obama has been bragging about how much he has decimated al Qaeda during his terms in office.  During the 2012 election, he kept telling America that the Islamic terrorist organization was ‘on the run.’  In fact, he used those descriptions of al Qaeda 32 times between the attack on the US Consulate compound in Benghazi and the week prior to the 2012 election.

On Nov 1, 2012, just 5 days before the presidential election, Obama spoke to a crowd in Green Bay where he told them:

“Thanks to sacrifice and service of our brave men and women in uniform, the war in Iraq is over, the war in Afghanistan is winding down, al Qaeda has been decimated, Osama bin Laden is dead.”

Yet just a few months prior to the election, Obama and other US officials were told that al Qaeda’s presence in Africa was building.  They were getting more money than ever before, they were gaining in knowledge of lethal weapons and that their goals were to strike American targets along with other western interests.

Rep Mike Rogers (R-MI), Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence was present at one or more of those meetings were Obama was briefed on al Qaeda’s growing strength.  After Obama began telling the country that al Qaeda was decimated and on the run, Rogers commented:

“I completely believe that the candidate Obama was understating the threat.  To say the core is decimated and therefore we have al Qaeda on the run was not consistent with the overall intelligence assessment at the time.”

In 2013, the resurgence of al Qaeda was so strong that Obama finally was forced to stop spewing his inaccurate rhetoric.  Instead of saying that the terrorist organization has been decimated, they’ve changed to saying that the core leadership in Pakistan has been decimated, not al Qaeda in general.

Either Obama was truly ignorant about the scope of al Qaeda’s strength or he willingly chose to lie to the American people about it.  If he was ignorant, this clearly demonstrates that he is not qualified to be the Commander in Chief of this nation.  If he willingly chose to lie to the about it, then it clearly demonstrates that he is willing to sacrifice the security and safety of our nation for the sake of politics.

Either way, he has no business leading the once most powerful nation on earth.  How can anyone trust a word out of his mouth when it comes to our nation’s defense, or anything else for that matter?  Sadly, there are millions who do believe every word out of his mouth and thanks to them, we still have 3 more years of Obama’s ineptness, lying and treachery to live with.
