Liberals Dominate Media: What You’re Not Aware Of

Marcus Aurelius said: “Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.”

Conservative Americans are living in a fool’s paradise. Every day, Conservatives go about, believing that they have some semblance of power in this country, when the reality is much the opposite. You see, there is a difference between power of ideas and simple power. Conservative ideas—social and economic—have a power in and of themselves, because they are inherently strong. Conservative Americans aren’t nearly as strong as the ideas they espouse. This is because the Left controls the media. The media, be it television, radio, commercials, movies, Hollywood or books, is a powerhouse. A massive percentage of these entertainment outlets are dominated by Liberals. Because we are surrounded by it, we often don’t realize how strong an influence Liberal propaganda has in our lives.

This twisting and stretching of our perspective could not be better represented than on HBO’s The Newsroom. In a recent episode, Occupy Wall Street was featured. In the episode, a leading Occupier was quoted as saying “The mainstream media has been making us look like idiots since this whole thing started.” The scene goes on to mention how the media wasn’t fair to Occupy. What BS.

Let’s break this down. The writers of The Newsroom are using their media platform to propagate something that is patently false. Not surprising, but there’s more to it than that. Because The Newsroom is well thought of, and is a decently popular show, people watching—even Conservatives—will fall victim to its viewpoint.

We all know that the mainstream media fawned on the Occupy Wall Street movement, saying it was the true Tea Party movement that this country needed. This TV show is using its influence to sell the exact opposite of the truth to its viewers. This is just one example of Liberal media cultural dominance.

The Left uses TV, movies, books, celebrities, and music to tell us one thing, when the opposite is actually true. Unfortunately, many Conservatives fall into this trap. It’s so easy to fall victim to this tactic, because we are being so entertained by what we are watching and reading, we don’t recognize the propaganda being pushed into our brains.

Perspective is a dangerous creature. It moves ideas around our minds like a brain janitor, replacing truth with fiction. It is insidious. So, how so we beat this? How do we fight this beast? Simple: keep a keen eye on what you are watching and reading. It’s ok to be entertained by a show like The Newsroom; it’s ok to follow celebrity news, so long as you are very aware that what is being pushed on you is often the opposite of the truth. The way in which you process what you watch and read is how you prevent the unnatural twisting of your perspective. Because once your perspective is twisted and pulled, it tends to stay that way.

Keep a keen eye, be on the lookout, don’t be an idiot. The fact is that the Left dominates the media, but that doesn’t mean we let them dominate us.

Any true cognizant conservative knows full well the country is being run by liberals. The newspapers, magazines, movies, TV shows and just about anything one comes in contact with is run by the liberals. To think or believe anything else is ignorant.

I looked forward to ” The Newsroom” before it came on.There are a number of actors on the show that I like. After the THIRD episode I just could not take it anymore.Believe me all through the last episode I really tried keeping interest. There are a couple of plot lines that I would have liked to see them play out.I just couldn’t get thru all the lies and the crap that came with it.As far as that goes I even used to watch Bill M. on the same T.V. station. While 43 was president. After O was elected he became so over the top I couldn’t stomach that guy anymore either. No great lose in not watching either program.

Our opportunities to witness and to back each other up, as Christians, up is limited on this new style of blogging and I still have hopes of getting the old one back with, limitation on the evil anti-America, anti-Christian blogs that are posted. GOD gives every on of us the right to believe and practice what we believe but we can help each other by supporting the GOOD OF GOD and what HIS people are trying to do. We are trying to make a difference in everybody’s lives, the anti-GOD as well as for GOD’S people. We do not ever go against any person but we do try to guide others, as far as ability goes, we do not try to force our opinions as do these who are against GOD and Country.

    • AmVet

You are partly correct, is so much as the Liberal are the puppets for the Atheist and Communist. I responded to a recent survey on this very subject and mentioned that all Medias that provide half truths or participates in covering up the real truth should be held accountable and prosecuted for committing or promoting a scam on the legal citizens of the United States of America.

      • lilolady

Well, there goes freedom of speech out the window. Freedom of the press is what they are abusing, by shouting “fire”, ramping up racial hatred, right for wrong and outside down and inside out. But it is their freedom to do just that.

      • http://Disqus pat78

AmVet, you are so right! Since the word “liberal” has been misused repeatedly, the definition appears to have changed. So goes the U.S. Constitution–abused, ignored repeatedly in hopes that it’s redefined without a constitutional convention, just like back door amnesty regardless of how the House votes.

Anyone who is not aware the the MSM is in total control of the left is just not watching the MSM. And, the soon to happen Hilarious Clintonite appearances on the MSM is sure to wake a few conservatives back to reality. I , for one shall be making notes on who the advertisers are, to make sure I do not buy their products.

    • Mr Bob

TV shows? You can’t turn on a cable channel without seeing a program aimed at the red states (swamp people, hillbilly boys, alligator lovers, etc)

      • Evermyrtle

Yeah, boobie there are lot of us who are proud to be called hillbillies, swamp people, lovers of all of GOD’S creations, Christians, GOD’S people, honest, dedicated to our beliefs, lovers of all people, kind and sharing and generous to a fault people. What we are ashamed of is claiming to be anti-GOD, anti-America, liars, name callers, ridiculers, fools that say there is no GOD, homosexuals, abortioners, and others. These people we love but hate the fact that they refuse to accept our GOD and HIS SON JESUS CHRIST, who are the CREATORS, who trash HIS rules, HIS commandments, those without a clue that if they don’t change into hell they will go. THAT is depressing for us to know these facts and that we cannot get them to accept facts of the SAVIOR of the world, to get them to change their minds and love HIM as we do. Our red states represent us as Christians, animal loving , people loving, lovers of all of GOD’S commandments, honest people who deem it anti-Christian to call other people names that represent ourselves in behavior. We find that dishonest and just leave it to the enemy, to do that.

  • Jim S

I can’t help but think of Mark Twain’s comment on newspapers and apply it even more strongly to the modern media.
“If you don’t read the newspapers, you are uninformed. If you do read the newspapers you are misinformed.” :-) Even truer today.

    • The an Texan

Just listen to Beck, rush, fox and all those other cool people. Keep on truckin. Turn off everything else. You are obviously DOOMED. NEWSROOM is very very good. But don’t watch. If you are a conservative and are confused, mthenny are really not the bightest bulb for sure.

      • Mr Bob

“Beck, rush, fox and all those other cool people”??? Is it any wonder why teabaggers are such low information voters!

    • Fiesty

      Amen to that!

  • jack

No. We are fully aware of the bull that the media pushes. 90%, gay is ok, we must have immigration refirm—— ALL BULL …….. WE ARE NOT AS STUPID AND GULLIBLE AS U THINK. The liberal media totally shoved BO down our throats. Thats why we disregard everything u say.

    • Mr Bob

You raise a good question. Are you people as stupid as we think?? Well, you’re pretty stupid yet we think you’re stupid. If I had to bet, I’d bet that you’re actually dumber then we think & that’s pretty stupid!

  • PaleRider

    This article is spot on!

  • http://www.bibleversusconstitution.org Ted R. Weiland

Many Americans have an undying faith in the media and thus revere this man-made entity without realizing they are doing so. These people usually consider anything printed or spoken by the media as gospel, and this is precisely how these opinion-shapers would have it. People who, therefore, idolize the media are fools or, at the best, naïve: “The simple [naïve] believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.” (Proverbs 14:15)

We are to live ‘by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of YHWH’ (Deuteronomy 8:3). Everyone else’s word should be judged by ‘the mouth of two or three witnesses’ (2 Corinthians 13:1).

Howard Beal of Network described the media: “If you want truth, don’t come to us. We will tell you anything but the truth. Go to God.… Go to your gurus, go to yourselves. But, don’t come to us.… Your lives are real, we are an illusion.” (Howard Beal, quoted by Lloyd Billingsley, Christianity Today, October 4, 1985.)

That is what an idol is: an illusion. The impression of an independent press in America is part of the illusion. In 1898, at an annual dinner of the American Press Association, John Swinton, the one-time editor-in-chief of the New York Times, was called upon to toast journalism and America’s free press. He responded in a surprising way:

“There is no such thing in America as an independent press, unless it is in the country towns. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write his honest opinions, and if you did you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid $150.00 a week for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with—others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things—and any of you who would be so foolish as to write his honest opinions would be out on the street looking for another job. The business of the New York journalist is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to revile, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and to sell his race and his country for his daily bread. You know this and I know it, and what folly is this to be toasting an “Independent Press.” We are tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks; they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes.” (John Swinton, Editor-In-Chief of the New York Times, speech at an annual dinner of the American Press Association, sponsored by the New York Press Club, quoted by Upton Sinclair, The Cry for Justice: An Anthology of the Literature of Social Protest (New York, NY: Lyle Stuart Inc., 1963) p. 482.)

      How very accurate !
Honest folk are paid a pittance, while “Golden Calves” of modern-say society, such as Oprah Winfrey, are paid millions to spread their racial propaganda.

      • Mr Bob

In a free market system EVERYONE is paid EXACTLY what they are worth! Now, it may not be fair that a rock star or sports star makes hundred’s of millions while a teacher makes $40K but “fair” has NOTHING to do with capitalism.

      • Evermyrtle

You are so right, we are in the age where evil is good and good is evil, all except for GOD’S people. We still hold to the belief that right is right and wrong is wrong.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil, that put darkness for light and light for darkness, that bitter for sweet and sweet for bitterness

This seem so dry, when we cannot vote on the people’s who put time and effort into sharing the gospel and the truth.

And in Today’s news, the Pot is Calling the Kettle – Negroid!!!!!

Self-appointed civil rights leaders and celebrities remained mum on the vicious beating of a white sixth-grader at the hands of three older African-Americans in Florida, despite a growing chorus of critics who called their silence hypocrisy given their recent, racially-charged condemnation of the Sunshine State.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, who both blasted Florida in the wake of the Trayvon Martin shooting and the acquittal of George Zimmerman in Martin’s death, with Jackson calling it an “apartheid state” and “our Selma,” have not spoken publicly of the brutal beating aboard a school bus caught on cellphone and surveillance video. Neither Jackson nor Sharpton responded to requests for comment from FoxNews.com.

“Three 15-yr-old black teens beat up a 13-yr-old white kid because he told school officials they tried to sell him drugs,” former congressman Allen West, an ex-Army Colonel who is African-American, wrote on his Facebook page. “Do you hear anything from Sharpton, Jackson, NAACP, Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, liberal media, or Hollywood? Cat got your tongues or is it that pathetic hypocrisy revealing itself once again? Y’all just make me sick.”

    • RacerJim

Let’s not forget to include Oprah RACIST Winfrey amongst those hypocritical black public figures.

I wonder where are these Conservatives that you are referring to as living in “a fool’s paradise,” thinking we have any power over anything! Conservative Christians know,, even at this time we are only a shade above bondage, to the USA Liberal antichrist anti-America government. There is only one thing that can stop this bunch of criminals, and that is the ALMIGHTY GOD. WE BELIEVE HE WILL SOON MAKE THE GREATEST MOVE THAT HAS EVER BEEN MADE SINCE THE “CREATION.”An explanation can be found in:

The only thing worth doing us to take on many different perspectives. Because as in court case, where you hear versions of truth, a more accurate picture surfaces when you hear from both sides, the experts and the propagandists. I out Fox News and The Blaze in same category as MSNBC

Hot lady from Fox taking over boring Hannity. A savior. For sure. LOL LOL LOL.

Is there a situation where you might consider those sources askew from the truth?

    • Mr Bob

Teahadists can’t seem to tell the difference between fact & fiction which is the reason they view fox as news.

  • Lorraine E

As far back as 1960 I knew the news? media was lying. I was on the scene where their “news” had happened and everything they said was an outright lie. But then as they say, “If you hear a lie often enough, you will believe it.” So all of the millionaires in the so-called news media read their scripts at the same time, same stories, and same lies. They are in the business of indoctrinating the masses into Marxism and Communism and it doesn’t require much for a person to search for the truth about their “news?” I’ve heard it said that their “news is written by the United Nations” and it is a long standing fact that the united nations is anything but a friend of my country.

I think it might be too late. Do you ever hear conservatives challenge liberals in real life? I do it, but I stand alone at my place of work. We are swamped under the media, all of it. Facts don’t do much to change minds. Emotion works and liberals use it in all medias.

  • smapple

The most powerful positions are those who get to decide: What IS News? I recall in the early 90’s wondering why we were seeing so many stories about gays, about gay pride parades, about hate crimes against them. Now we know why. They have convinced America that they are a bigger part of America than they really are, and that they are not a bunch of weird idiots who are the fringe of society. It is the subject of the stories – not the stories themselves- that should be in question. Why are certain things being reported on and others not?

  • TexasChris

like Numbers a few years ago.. It was a fantastic show until they started to get way into the political scene.. I stopped watching it.. I stopped watching NCIS when they put Jamie Lee Curtis on it.. liberal.. not to mention there were some episodes that were indoctrinating you and I… liberal is what Liberal is..
There are many others like it.. Most television shows are Liberal… listen to the crap they spew all over television… I thought it was funny how many television shows changed the leader to a black man after the ILLEGAL-ALIEN BORN IN KENYA was allowed to use our white house by traitors… They killed off Lauren Holly and brought in the new black director.. they did this with a lot of shows, and i stopped watching them…It was the Liberals that made me stop watching this crap altogether.. I am almost television free now…. there is a reason they call it the boob tube..

  • Chris

Frank Camp: “Keep a keen eye, be on the lookout, don’t be an idiot. The fact is that the Left dominates the media, but that doesn’t mean we let them dominate us.”

The “Left” doesn’t control the media. The “Left” is controlled by the same ones that DO control the media, which are the same ones that control the “conservatives”.

As Ted Weiland’s comment above not only points to one of the main problems of people who idolize and believe these overpaid media “presstitutes”, he accurately quotes John Swinton, a high ranking media insider of his day: “We are tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks; they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes.”

Got that Frank? “… tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes.”
