Gun Control Advocates Think The Second Amendment Is Up For Debate - It's Not

“Never trust a government that doesn’t trust its own citizens with guns.”
– Benjamin Franklin

After the president, with help from his fraternizers in the deceptive state-run media, somehow won his re-election campaign, I thought it was important to note the first thing Obama and his administration did was turn its attention to the United Nations gun treaty talks.

Hmm, I wonder … If he really had the support of the American people, why is he so busy trying to disarm those who supposedly love him so much?
And all the while Obama and his administration are busy trying to disarm the American people by conjuring up criminals guilty of some sort of gun crimes as an excuse for new gun legislation.

Well, then, let me help: This administration need not look any further than within its own ranks.
And this, friends, is the very reason we are an armed people.

Fast and Furious

As you know, Attorney General Eric Holder is guilty of putting thousands of assault rifles (AK-47s) into the hands of Mexican drug lords in an attempt to blame the American people for the crimes administration officials are guilty of contriving and committing. As a result, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed, along with hundreds of Mexican civilians, including teens at a birthday party and a Mexican beauty queen.

The state-run media conveniently pulled a media blackout on Fast and Furious, and some Americans gave them a pass and have “forgotten” the atrocities committed upon them by their own government, therefore strengthening tyranny so it might assault the people again on a later date.

The “later date” occurred in Benghazi, when Ambassador Chris Stevens, two Navy SEALs and another U.S. citizen were killed on Sept. 11, 2012.
The Blaze reported:

“The details of the September 11 attack that killed four Americans at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi are still murky, and there is certainly more to be known.

Former CIA officer Clare Lopez argues that the key issue is the relationship of the U.S. government, Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the U.S. diplomatic mission in Libya with al-Qaida.

‘That relationship, Lopez argues, could be connected to the rise of Islamic brigades in Syria, who recently created a ‘Front to Liberate Syria’ to wage jihad against the Syrian regime and turn the country into an Islamic state.’”

The Business Insider stated:

“In 2011 the U.S. sold $33.4 billion worth of weapons to Saudi Arabia and $1.7 billion to Qatar as sales tripled to a record high and accounted for nearly 78 percent of all global arms sales.

‘The opposition groups that are receiving most of the lethal aid are exactly the ones we don’t want to have it,’ one American official familiar with the situation told the New York Times.”

So, America, was Ambassador Stevens gun running to extreme jihadists? Was Eric Holder responsible for putting guns into the hands of Mexican drug cartels? You decide.

Long-time gun grab attempt

Holder has been contriving a gun grab for years. For those who didn’t know, it recently came to light that Holder encouraged the media to “brainwash” the youth about how bad guns are when he was a part of Clinton’s anti-gun administration.

What is interesting here is that the young, through Hollywood and video games, are conveniently taught a “thug” mentality and how to commit crimes. In the meantime, corrupt politicians await to trample the Constitution and legislate new policies to disarm the American population, leaving them defenseless when the crimes are committed.

Just look at Sandy Hook, Aurora, Columbine, etc.

Thomas Jefferson stated that the whole purpose of government is to “ensure your rights,” not to take them away.

What this administration is attempting to do is exactly what Hitler, Stalin, Mao, or any other dictator has done. They blame the weapon rather than the person committing the crimes and all the while subtly encourage criminal activity.

Friends, this is not about guns; it is about control. And this issue is not to be overlooked, because gun rights stand between a free country and an enslaved, possibly an exterminated, people.

The Second Amendment:

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a FREE State, the Right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed (violated).” (emphasis added)

According to Federal Statute Title 10, Chapter 13, Section 311 (a), all males between the ages of 17 and 45 who are either citizens of the United States or have declared their intent to become citizens are members of the “unorganized” or reserve militia.

It is time for America to get out of the debate because there is no debate.

We have rights given unto us by our Creator. Period.

President George Washington, when arming the people of the United States of America, said:

“A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent of others for essential, particularly military, supplies.”

We would do well to heed President Washington’s warning, since over 56 million people in the 20th century were exterminated by their own governments under the guise of gun control.

Since these supposed Government employees, which is what Obama and Eric Holder are, have allowed guns to be sold to criminals without arresting the criminals, why is it that they are still free and not being brought to account for the laws they broke? Is it now that we have a government above the law? If so it is time to tear it down.

Why should the president and all his little cronies have full time “armed” guards to protect them, but as a law abiding citizen i am not able to protect my self or my family. Well, i for one, as well as millions of others, we are not going to give up our guns. i will stand and protect my self and my family with my “legal” guns which is guaranteed to me by the 2nd amendment “to protect my self and having the right to bear arms.

    I Love GA:

Sheriff Clay N. Whittle of the Columbia County, Georgia Sheriff’s Department, one of the largest Sheriff’s departments in the State of Georgia, has come out openly and stated that he will oppose Federal and State legislation that attempts to infringe on the Second Amendment rights of the citizens of Columbia County. He has also joined other sheriff’s in Georgia like Scott Berry in Boycotting Dana Safety Supply for his department’s needs, since the company will not sell semi-automatic rifles to civilians.
Sheriff Whittle is proud to promote his department, stating “We are now one of only a few law enforcement organizations in the country to meet the standards necessary to gain the distinction of accreditation. We are also recognized as the first Sheriff’s office accredited in the State of Georgia. Accreditation impacts citizens through consistency of services and professional delivery, and creates a work environment that is performance based.”
In other words, when Whittle state what he states, it is coming from the mouth of a sheriff whose office is nationally recognized and accredited.
Whittle is a member of the Georgia Sheriff’s Association, who have stated their position on the current gun control debate on the front page of their website. According to the GSA:
The sheriffs took an oath to support the Constitution and will stand by the 2nd Amendment. The sheriffs will aggressively oppose federal or state legislation which infringes upon law abiding citizens’ right to bear arms.
The sheriffs further agree to support any legislation that would effectively penalize criminals who use firearms in the commission of crimes.
In an interview with Freedom Fighter Radio, Sheriff Whittle was asked about his stand and the statement of the GSA, along with what people have to fear or not fear in regards to potential gun grabs talk that is coming out of Washington, D.C.
The Georgia Sheriff stated that he didn’t know exactly what was going to come out of Washington just yet. He did say that there were,
“people were introducing bills that make absolutely no sense whatsoever, but the bottom line with the Georgia Sheriffs is…. that we took an oath to support the Constitution, to include the Amendments, and that we are not going to allow anyone to come into the State of Georgia and violate the Constitution or it’s Amendments, and that specifically carries with it defense of the Second Amendment.”
When asked to define his understanding of what the Second Amendment is and what it is all about, Sheriff Whittle said that he believed the Founding Fathers were not sure that the Constitution, before the Amendments, spelled out strongly enough what they believed were their God given, inalienable rights. “One of which was for self defense,” Whittle expounded, “and to defend themselves against tyranny.”
“England was who we just had a war with and fought and won our independence from because of their tyrannical government,” Whittle continued. “The original signers of the Declaration (Constitution) wanted to make sure that people understood that it was about defense of the country against a tyrannical government.”

Columbia County Sheriff Clay N. Whittle
He went on to point out that some people talk about “hunting rights” and “self defense,” but Whittle says that “is not the case.” He went on to elaborate saying that the Second Amendment was put into the Constitution by the Founders to “defend the country, both from outside and inside tyrannical governments.”
In a final question posed to Whittle, he was asked what his response is to those in the media and people like Gordan Duff of Veterans Today who reference National Rifle Association (NRA) members as “the enemy” or Larry Pratt, of Gun Owners of America being lumped in as “dangerous people.”
“It’s preposterous!” exclaimed Sheriff Whittle. “The people that make these kinds of statements are simply afraid of something in their own mind and in order to change their fear, they attempt to legislate you and I. It does not make any sense and I don’t believe the average American is going to stand for that.”
Sheriff Whittle is joining a growing voice of sheriffs around the country like Scott Berry, Ron Bruce, David Clarke and others, including police chiefs, who are reminding people of the value of the Second Amendment and standing up to tyrannical threats from the Federal government and State legislatures who are Hell bent on disarming the American populace.
Take time to contact your police chief or sheriff in your local area. Find out if they support the stand that these men are so courageously taking and give them your support.

None the first ten amendments – The Bill of Rights – are open for debate. The Founding Fathers were crystal clear: both the Constitution and the Bill of Rights say exactly what they mean in easily-understood English. No part is open for interpretation, debate, revision or repeal. These are God-given natural rights and as such are inviolate. Those who would attempt to change or remove these ten amendments are themselves not American Patriots but enemies of the Republic and should be dealt with as United States Law prescribes for treason.

The 2nd amendment is a part of the constitution which was based on ideas and biblical scripture. without the 2nd we would not have come as far as we have. This a fact not debatable. Withoout the 2nd amendment, we will cease to continue as we have. This fact not debatable. Thus the purpose of the 2nd amendment. This is fact, not debatable. Personally I agree with what many are now saying. Keep messing with the 2nd amendment and find out what it means. This is fact, not debatable. God given rights are NOT DEBATABLE.

The Bushmaster AR-15 and similar civilian weapons that Feinstein et al are demonizing and want to ban are NOT assault rifles at all. Don’t give the gun banners any leeway on these lies and distortions. Their intent is to confuse and misinform those who don’t know any better. In other words, they’re lying.

Tell people the truth … tell them that the AR-15 is not really functionally different than other rifles except that it outwardly RESEMBLES the M-16/M4 machine gun that our troops use. (For reasons of economy in manufacturing, the inherent reliability and maintainability of the underlying design, and other factors, there are a lot of common parts, but the important ones that determine function are designed to preclude illegal conversion to fully-automatic operation like the military weapons with which the gun-banners want you to confuse them.)

The guns they want to ban are NOT machine guns, as the gun grabbers and media try to convince you. They do NOT “spray bullets” as military weapons do. However their outward appearance, combined with deliberate untruths and the use of incorrect terminology, makes it easier for the deceivers to demonize these guns as they try to build support for banning them. (Which is, of course, just a step towards further bans in the future.)

Also impress up on people that the AR-15 and functionally similar guns are NOT “only suitable for a war zone” as the ban’s proponents and media personalities keep saying, but that they are, in fact, NOT really suitable for combat use at all because of their limitations. (Our troops would be SERIOUSLY out-gunned if they went into battle with AR-15s.)

Further, they are not “heavy weapons” as some of the media people keep saying. Inform people of the factual reality that these weapons are actually considerably LESS powerful than most of their grandpa’s deer rifles – to the point that in many states it’s illegal to hunt game larger than groundhogs and coyotes with the .223/5.56mm round that the AR-15 fires.

The public has to be informed so that they understand that they are deliberately being misled and misinformed by the media to advance the citizen disarmament agenda of leftist tyrant wannabes in our government.

History proves the Second Amendment is not only up for debate but much more. In fact, the very amendment that contains the phrase “shall not be infringed” is the most infringed, licensed, and limited of the entire twenty seven.

Why is this? Because the framers essentially forfeited the God-expected responsibility for a Constitutional right. Rights are optional whereas God-expected responsibilities (such as found in 1 Timothy 5:8, which includes bearing arms in defense of ourselves, families, and neighbors) are non-optional.

Ask yourselves, which are more easily infringed: Constitutional rights or God-expected responsibilities? History has already answered that question.

Carl Stevenson, Thanks, I was just going to remark on exactly what you said here. An AR-15 is so inferior to a real assault rifle it’s a shame. Somehow we need to get it thru the thick heads of the liberals that we are not stupid, we know the difference even if they do not. They also don’t understand that what we are protecting is not just our rights, it’s theirs too. Without the 2nd amendment it all goes away and they are not invulnerable to being attacked by the Tyrant either. It’s their goal to take away our protection so they can run amuck thru our country pillaging everything. Millions of Americans will be slaughtered at will and if they don’t see it they are too damn stupid.

If “We the People” are not armed and have no right to be armed; only the criminals and government will have them and we become slaves to both because criminals could well describe government these days as well. Both force their will on us against our will. Our Founding Fathers wanted to be sure We the People would never be disarmed slaves again so as to prevent the necessity of founding another country in order to be free. There are no more Americas to find so this is our only option: Defend Her or Give Her Away. We all know what we must do.

The Constitution wasn’t written for a “bevy” of lawyers; it was written in a simple manner for the people of the time and as such their meanings were NOT hidden in “legal trickery” as are today’s bills by our ?elected? government ???????s.

The term “lawmaker” is misused today as “they” are actually ONLY “statute” writers. A “statute”, as created initially, only possesses the “color-of-law”. For a “statute” to become “law” it must meet undeniable Constitutional muster. If a “statute” does so, and ONLY when it does so does that “statute” become “law”. Only “laws” are “lawfully” enforceable.

ALL “attempts” enforce “statutes” that possess only “color-of-law” are “unlawful” and the “act” of attempting enforcement it is, itself, “‘outside” of the “law”. Any one who attempts to enforce such “unlawful statutes” are operating “outside” of the “law” and are, thus, “outlaws”. If there is more one “perpetrator” then they are a “gang of outlaws”!

ALL “firearms” “laws”, whether State or Federal, possess only, and CAN possess only, “color-of-law” and are therefore “unlawful” as is any attempt to enforce them.

It should be noted that the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is a “corporation” (as of 1871 via the 14th Amendment); it cannot change any law that is pre-14th Amendment and that is why the government has never attempted to repeal any the first 10 Amendments (1791) even though it should be obvious that they would dearly desire to do so, especially the 2nd Amendment. This is also why the original 13th Amendment is still valid (it was never “repealed”; it was just removed) and it precedes the 13th Amendment which “?freed?” the slaves. The Republic still exists, outside the CORPORATION.

Americans are entitled to own and use guns responsibly. The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees this right. In 2008, in the case of District of Columbia v. Heller, the Supreme Court struck down the District’s handgun ban and affirmed Second Amendment rights. However, the Court also noted in its decision that Second Amendment rights are subject to reasonable limitations.

To know what we’re up against just look at this sampling of Barack Obama’s anti-gun record,
In 1996, as candidate for the Illinois state Senate,

Obama endorsed the state’s handgun ban.

He also supported legislation to ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns, to ban assault weapons and to require mandatory waiting periods and background checks.

Then once in the state Senate, Obama sought to require the licensing and registering of gun owners.

In 1998, as part of the “Illinois National Political Awareness Test” from Project Vote Smart, he made clear his support to ban the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons.

Two years later, Obama co-sponsored a state bill to limit handgun purchases to one per month.

In 2005, Obama opposed a bill that would protect firearms manufacturers from lawsuits for harm resulting from unlawful misuse of their products.

Obama opposes in concept ALL citizen concealed carry.

While pandering to his anti-gun base at a 2008 fundraising in San Francisco, obama described Americans in rural Pennsylvania and the Midwest as bitter people who cling to guns.

Regarding the D.C. handgun ban that same year, Obama publicly indicated that he believed an outright ban was Constitutional and supported it.

Obama contends that just because you have an individual right does not mean that the state or local government can’t constrain the exercise of that right.

Obama`s record speaks for itself. In fact, Obama is a committed gun-grabber carrying water for the gun control selling lies to the uninformed American people that gun control is in the best interest of public safety.

  • Terry Mulawa

During the Debates for the Adoption of the Federal Constitution, the Founding Fathers reasoned that the people should be properly armed:
“I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for a few public officials.” ALEXANDER HAMILTON, the Federalist Papers at 184-8.
“A militia, when properly formed are in fact the people themselves…and include all men capable of bearing arms.” RICHARD HENRY (LIGHT HORSE HARRY) LEE, Letters from the Federal Farmer (1788) at 169.
“Have we the means of resisting disciplined armies, when our only defense, the militia, is put in the hands of Congress?” PATRICK HENRY, 3 Elliot Debates at 48.

More recently In 1958, Title 10 US Code 311 became law and states: The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 to 45 years of age, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard. The law also maintains there are 2 classes of militia: the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard or Naval Militia and all the rest, the unorganized militia, the whole body of people. Title 10 US Code 313 adds as members of the militia all persons under 64 who are former members of the Regular Armed Forces.

In 1939, The U.S. Supreme Court stated in U.S. V. Miller that militia members, when called are expected to appear bearing arms supplied by themselves and of the kind in common use at the time. These types of modern firearms with detachable magazines are also useful if your home is invaded my multiple intruders. Such firearms were used by merchants in L.A. when attacked by mobs to protect their lives and property.
Criminologist Gary Kleck, Professor of Criminology at Florida State University, during self-defense research, discovered a gun is used to protect the owner from crime 2.5 million times per year, most times without a shot being fired.

The Articles of Confederation of this country did not work because the signers of that document were so leery of a centralized government power that they had fled in Europe that the government that they proposed had only a legislative branch. No executive branch and no judicial branch. Without an over-riding “executive” authority, our new nation could not compete on an equal footing with the entrenched powers of the “Old World”. There still had to be a great deal of debate to overcome their great fear of ANY form of concentrated centralized government. There started to emerge the three branches of our current government, set up so that hopefully no one branch could assume command over the other two. It was enumerated what the central government could do, and what was left to the individual states to do. But what still made the citizens anxious was what was missing. What was missing was a listing of what the central government, under any circumstance, COULD NOT DO to the states or any citizen of any state. That became the first ten amendments to the Constitution, the Bill of Rights. Now, the central government has become more powerful that the founding fathers ever hoped it could become. And amongst the branches, the executive is attempting to become dominant in all matters. Naturally, the Bill of Rights, the enumeration of what the central government CANNOT DO, is an affront to these jackals in their quest for ultimate power. That is why they attack them so strongly and that is why, if our form of government is still the best available, they must be resisted with as much force as is required. Certainly, the second amendment, the one that protects the citizens of the country from a rogue government, by allowing them to own something to resist tyranny with, MUST be protected at all cost.

The second amendment will never be up for debate, it is what it is, and shall not be infringed. It applies to all citizens of the US of all ages, and is for the protection of all people in the US to not be ruled by government, but to assure that the duly elected officials of our republic protect and defend our enumerated rights as written in the constitution and any amendments excessive of the 10 original amendments. In conjunction with the bill of rights. It is the job of elected officials to safeguard these rights and the constitutional rights of the many, guarded by the few, it is not in the realm of our government by the people to bypass the rights awarded by the constitution, and to attempt to do so is felonous. There are ways to get rid of those individuals in our three divisions of gov’t who doesn’t defend these rights, impeachment, recall, constitutional convention, or a little revolt at a time that it would water the tree of liberty! James, the second amendment is the most often infringed upon of all our God-given rights. Any federal, state or local law licensing, registering or otherwise restricting ownership or carrying of arms is an infringement. Criminals and crazies have the same rights as everyone else (but they should not be running around loose or unsupervised).

I do consider all the ideas you have presented to your post. They are very convincing and will definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are too brief for newbies. May just you please lengthen them a bit from subsequent time? Thanks for the post.

If we actually LOVED our brother as ourself – there would be no need for debate either.

It’s about WORSHIP, do you worship and agree with Creator Yah the living Jesus or do you have another god you serve… Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ever hear of them folk? It’s CONTROL over your Obligation due your Creator… do we fall and worship a false god or obey the Everliving Christ… On the LAST SUPPER at Passover a HIGH HOLY DAY (SACRED,) Jesus said to some apostles CARRYING the WEAPON of the day:

Luke 22.38 And they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” And he said to them, “It is enough.”

Just a few verses earlier Jesus INSTRUCTED they ARM themselves… “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one.”

Now, if God himself instructed on a HIGH HOLY day we should buy a weapon, what are you waiting for???

God ALWAYS allows and requires JUSTIFIED killing, but UNJUSTIFIED (Murder) is prohibited.

When you need the police immediately they are minutes away.

Our FIRST line of DEFENSE os PRAYER to God, then Prepping (obedience) and thinking ahead – EVEN Yah in the flesh i.e. Jesus Himself on several occasions avoided and was divinely protected some times he PLANNED for his safety knowing the men of the times: John 2.23-25

Avoidance as seen HERE is a Line of defense – but as he instructed the apostles, their OTHER from of defense was an actual weapon to thwart the evil which may consume them OR those innocents which they may be nearby and under obligation to defend / protect.

    A GUN owner is merely following several basic principle of scripture;
I Timothy 5.8 But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

    Yahweh sends sustenance to mankind in general;
Matthew 5.45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

    We must have just cause;
Numbers 35.30 Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.
    Romans 12.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord (Yah.)

    We ARE required to KILL without asking questions if the situation arises;
    Exodus 22.
2 If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.
3 If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
And as You can see- NO BLOOD SHALL be shed for the GUILTY.

God is LOVE and that love requires a Just Hatred in equity for ALL which would come to destroy that love.

    We are not to just lay down and give away the farm to the wicked just because they threaten us;
Proverbs 25.26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.
Psalms 82.4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

    You have WEAK FAITH if you refuse to obey God;
    Proverbs 24.
8 He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.
9 The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.
10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
11 If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain

YOU as a CHRISTIAN could be HELD LIABLE by the HIGHEST CORUT there is ie GODS:
Ezekiel 33.6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
Deuteronomy 22.8 When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.

We are to put some to death if we are in a position – life is precious!
    Genesis 9.
5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.
6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

I could GO ON and ON and ON, hopefully if you have not done your research with equity of the whole of scripture, now you will.

Let’s remember that the Second Amendment is a key part of the overall document called the constitution. That Part is so important that without it, the whole thing isn’t worth the parchment it’s written on. These fascists know if they negate the second amendment and confiscate guns, like every dictator has done since firearms were invented, they have an open path to total subjugation and control. The NWO, through the U.N. and the world banking system, is pushing for a global gun grab, and they own many key politweasels in developed countries. They not only own our mulatto Hitler, they created him from scratch. He’s their Frankenstein monster, and the sheeple helped put him in office and keep him there. Good job, America!

The argument that rights are optional is true, but so are the duties and responsibilities that God gave you that grants those rights. Both are optional because it is a matter of free will. Will you choose to obey God by carrying out your duties and responsibilities and exercising your rights or choose to disobey God by not doing so.

“Shall not be infringed” is an extremely clear phrase with absolutely no wiggle room, as clear as any Bible passage. Yet it is infringed upon and even ignored, how? Why? Simple, it is because bad leaders choose to ignore law just as they will ignore and twist the Bible in a tyrannical theocracy that will fall as it has every other time in history. It is bad leaders that is the problem and the apathy of people who put them there, not our Constitution and form of government as the Christian Founding Fathers intended it to be. Theses same people will destroy the theocracy you propose even faster, while the Christian Founding Father’s government has stood their assaults for over 200 years, God, giving us time to fix it if we as men will govern ourselves, instead of expecting or leaving government to do it for us as a theocracy would have it.

“Rights” as in such as those recognized and guaranteed in the Bill of Rights are real and Biblical in our horizontal relationship with men. These are God given, inalienable rights granted by the duties and responsibilities God has given us in Scripture. Some examples are Gen. 1:26 were we are given dominion over the earth and all that is in it and “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” (1st Tim. 5:8). Providing means such things as security, food, shelter, etc, so from these passages we see our right to self defense and to bear arms, property rights and security of property etc. Everyone of our true rights can be found in Scripture like this.

Before God, in our vertical relationship what we call “rights” are necessary parts of duties and responsibilities He has given us. Yet before Him, we do have rights, but a different type of rights. As sons of the living God and “co-heirs with Christ” (Rom. 8:17) we have the right to pension Him in prayer (John 14:14). We have all the covenants, birthrights, and promises we can claim as ours with the rights and privileges they include. We also have the right to lose and bind as found in:
“Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.

“Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.” Matt. 18:18-19

Yes, God reserves His right as Sovereign over all, but He still grants us these rights as Christians and as applicable, as immortal beings “created in His image”. So it is incorrect to say we do not have rights. We truly do, have rights as I have shown above and as our Founding Fathers intended. I do not indorse the current state of our nation, but the foundation of this country was true.

The BIG problem is this:  The Liars and Thieves who want to take away our guns DO NOT CARE about Our Rights, Our Liberty, or anything else that WE want.  They want to render us powerless to prevent them from enslaving us, killing us, and taking away our property.  There is only one defense against such people.

  • countyguard

Just a correction to Rob’s discussion on Christ and Passover… Passover is not a “High” Day. It isn’t a Sabbath either. One of God’s Holy Days, a High Sabbath day, occurs a day later as the first day of Unleavened Bread… and there are others…

  • Bill Weston

The only legitimate way to rescind the 2nd ammendment is to enact a 28th ammendment. The alternative is to cancel our charter, The Constitution of The United States, in its entirety. If the latter is accepted, then no legislator has authority of any kind. Thus the citizenry by agreement and use of force can establish a new set of laws. As things stand, “We, the people….” are not interested in relinquishing that part of our soveriegnty. The recent sales of guns and ammunition aught to be an adequate indicator of the mood of the citizenry. The only choices available are 1) accept the law as written and defined, or 2) establish a new order by force. I believe the first choice is the one preferred.

    • DMJ

@Bill Weston Repealing the 2nd Amendment or any of the Bill of Rights (the first 10 amendments) is not legitimate.  Those are unalienable rights, as in the government can never take those away.

      • Bill Weston

@DMJ I agree totally and without reservation. What makes you think that I am seeking to repeal the second ammendment anyway? The only ammendment that might need consideration is the XVI ammendment establishing the federal income tax. Otherwise our Constitution and the biblical premises supporting it has made america the greatest land in our planet’s history. I’m not willing to oppose that!

    Ineptocracy  ( In-ep-toc-racy)
A system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

  • StreetGlide13

Hammers are used to kill more people in America than guns, yet I don’t hear any dumba** calling for hammer control or to stop hammer violence!

  • Don DeHoff

History in Australia , Great Britain and France reveals after their citizen’s guns were confiscated, violent crime increased two  to four-fold, and much more in their larger cities. Logic, reason and common sense dictates that if our guns are confiscated, the same thing will happen here. Ask those who adovcate gun control, if they will take personal responsibility for the increase in violent crime and ask each congressperson, if they will resign if there is a doubling or tripling of crime in their districts. Also, the FBI reveals that less than 3% of violent crimes in the U.S., involved rifles, and that the great major of violent crimes occured in the 2-dozen or so larger U.S.cities. Obviously the focus is on the wrong issues—it should be on  people and not on guns. Now, for the sake of argument, let us assume both the citizen’s and criminal’s guns can be confiscated, where does that leave the citizens? The crinimals will merely get other kinds of weapons or “ouble their manpower”, again leaving the citizens at the mercy of the “bad guys”. The only solution is for the citizens to have a “bigger stick”, preferably size ,45 or 9 MM.

    • Troubleshooter

@Don DeHoff @DeHoff: You really ARE  a moron.  Are you so far out of touch with reality that you actually believe that the CongressPukes who are anti-gun are in the least concerned about History, Consequences of Gun Control, Crime Rates or any of that horsesh*t?  The only thing they care about is getting their under-the-table money for betraying the citizens of this country.  Period.  Either Wake The Fu*k Up or Shut The Fu*k Up. Preferably the latter.

      • Don DeHoff

@Troubleshooter”Trouble….”, your poor manners are exceeded only by your inability to hold a civil on-subject conversation. In my 81 years of “being around”, I have found that if enough people get involved in political issues, congress does listen, but not to  profanity, obnoxious nicknames and overall gutter talk——those back-alley efforts usually come from people who despertately want to be part of the dialog, but have nothing of value to contribute. Why, pray tell, do you resort to such tactics? I have seen you make several valid comments, but they get lost in the gutter.

        • Go4man

@Don DeHoff  @Troubleshooter Don, well written!  If you want an intelligent dialog, these posts are not the place.  We grew up in a different time.
God Bless You!  Thank you for help building a great country that I was able to grow up in.  All my respect,  Eric the Go4man

          @Don DeHoff  @Troubleshooter
I have talked to many anti-gun folks, as well as those that just beleive a few restructions need to come into play. Thier minds are closed to anything that has to do with protecting our rights. They have been brainwashed in thier lust of ignorance. We at one time as a country were able to debate. Now our debates revolve around garbled suggestions and fear mongering. Turning from our founding principles will “transform” America” as Obama has prescribed for us. He knows that the Average American are pretty gullible and basically ignorant to his real goals for this country. Yeah he is a real cool guy, fits right in thier with the very spolied and pathetic youth that elected him. Blacks were merely voting black, libs were merely voting socialist agendas. Obama should be impeached for his abuse of office. He is a pathetic president. This office is all about his dictatorship. Thanks to the dumb asses that elected him our kids futures have been taken away from them. Its pretty disgusting that we allowed this to happen. It is pretty disgusting 7 year olds get suspended for playing cops and robbers. WTF have we sunken to ?

@Imadancer821 Gun control advocates are over-rated liberals, what else is new

  • RobertMyles

Part of the Un Agenda 21, ‘turning area’s green or restoring natural habitat. Sounds nice huh. It means taking people out of the country ,small town USA disappear’s the people get moved to the “Big City”. Also disarming America by 2018 is a part of the UN Agenda. Now put theae 2 things together. Large number’s of defensless victims to be and we all know what the next thing is. Crime Quadruples as gang’s will use any weapon they can find. right now in Disarmed B ritian they are pushing legislation to eliminate certain types of common household cutlery, yeah ty slicing your steak with a plastic knife, that is if you manage to afford to buy a steak. Stand up or bow down America as we are the last bation of freedom left on Earth. We have to stop the gun grabber’s in our own country then do the same to the UN,. that towwr of BabBle needs to come down along with it’s really ugly sculpture

  • Go4man

Some people say that banning assault rifles designed solely for military purposes and registering guns does not affect the right to bear arms under the 2nd Amendment.  Background checks could infringe on the rights of felons and certain mentally ill persons to bear arms.  Most people should not have a problems.
I personally think we should have the right to own any weapon we can afford.  We should be going the other way and lift the ban on machine guns and rocket propelled grenades.  Maybe even Stinger Missiles depending on financial resources.
We will need them to defend ourselves against a tyrannical U.S. Government, state government, or even local government.   We can defend ourselves from marauders when it comes to a battle for survival after all social programs are eliminated.
    There is a real need!
